Pakistan ministry update

I received this email today from Pastor Fiaz….
We are thankful to God for the opportunity to complete the study of the book The Kingdom of God at our Bible Institute in Darwishke. It was a meaningful time of learning, fellowship, and spiritual growth for everyone who participated.
Throughout the study, the people learned many new things about the Kingdom of God and its importance in the Christian life. The teaching helped them understand God’s purpose, His Kingdom, and how believers are called to live and serve according to His Word. For many participants, the lessons brought a fresh understanding of biblical truths that they had not fully understood before.
One of the most encouraging parts of this study was hearing the personal testimonies of the participants. Some of them shared how the teaching had changed their understanding of God’s Word and encouraged them in their faith. Their testimonies showed us that the time spent studying together was not simply an academic exercise,

The bond market just broke

On August 5, 2026, I wrote about David Wilkerson’s 1973 Vision where he saw a financial crisis beginning in Germany, moving to Japan, and finally to the United States.
https://godskingdom.org/blog/2026/08/david-wilkersons-1973-vision/
The crisis in Germany came as a result of their support for Ukraine, when they cut off Russian oil and gas that was/is critical to their industry. More recently, we began to see the bond crisis in Japan, forcing them to sell US treasuries to save the yen.
Today it appears that the bond market actually broke.

“Today, the US Treasury admitted the long end of the bond market is broken…
“When the biggest foreign buyer is selling Treasuries to defend its own currency… and the US government is forced to step in and buy its own unwanted long bonds… this isn’t “market support.” This is the system flashing red.”

First Thessalonians, part 10, First Fruits Resurrection

The final verses of 1 Thessalonians 4 comprise one of Paul’s principal passages concerning the resurrection of the dead and the coming (parousia) of Christ. The immediate question is not primarily, “When will Christ return?” but rather, “What happens to believers who die before He comes?” Will they miss out on the blessing of seeing Christ’s return?
Apparently some Thessalonians feared that deceased believers would somehow miss the great event. Paul assures them of exactly the opposite: the dead in Christ actually rise first, so that they may receive the New Covenant inheritance of “the redemption of our body” (Romans 8:23).
The Hope of Resurrection
1 Thessalonians 4:13 begins,
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
Paul uses sleep as a metaphor for death. The Greek is koimaō, “to sleep,” from which we get the word cemetery through the related Greek koimētērion,

First Thessalonians, part 9, Spiritual Works

There is a natural progression: holiness governs not only what we do with our bodies but also how we treat our brethren and how we conduct our ordinary lives.
1 Thessalonians 4:8 says,
8 So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.
Paul refers back particularly to verse 7:
7 For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification.
The Greek verb translated “rejects” is atheteō, meaning to set aside, disregard, nullify, or reject. Paul's point is that his teaching about sexual morality was not merely Paul’s personal ethical philosophy. As he had already said in verse 2, these were “commandments” given “by the authority of the Lord Jesus.” Hence, to reject the moral standard is ultimately to reject God Himself.
Soulish vs Spiritual
Paul then adds,

First Thessalonians, part 8, Christian Morality

In chapter 4, Paul moves from recounting his relationship with the Thessalonians to giving more direct instruction about sanctification. The transition follows naturally from his prayer at the end of chapter 3: “so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father...”
Paul now explains what that holiness looks like in practical terms. In verses 1–6 his principal concern is sexual morality, but he frames the whole discussion in terms of walking in a manner pleasing to God.
1 Thessalonians 4:1 begins,
1 Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more.
The word “walk” (peripateō) is a common biblical metaphor for one’s manner of life. The Hebrew Scriptures use the same imagery. God’s commandments define the path in which His people are to walk. For example,

First Thessalonians, part 7, Paul's Incomplete Work

First Thessalonians 2 ended with Paul lamenting that he had been prevented from returning to them, while assuring them that they were his “glory and joy” (2:20). Chapter 3 explains what Paul did when he could no longer endure the uncertainty concerning their welfare: he sent Timothy to them.
The chapter is especially concerned with faith under affliction. Paul did not merely want to know whether the Thessalonians were physically safe; he wanted to know whether their faith had survived the pressure of persecution.
Paul’s Anxiety
1 Thessalonians 3:1, 2 says,
1 Therefore when we could endure it no longer, we thought it best to be left behind at Athens alone, 2 and we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you as to your faith.
The phrase “when we could endure it no longer” shows Paul's intense concern. Separation from them was painful, because he did not know whether persecution had shaken their faith. According to Acts 17:14–16,

First Thessalonians, part 6, The Heart of True Ministry

Paul now returns to thanksgiving, but his focus shifts from his conduct among the Thessalonians to their response to the gospel. He praises them for receiving God's Word with faith, enduring persecution, and becoming participants in the same sufferings experienced by the churches in Judea.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 says,
13 For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.
The Thessalonians not only “heard” the message from human messengers but recognized its true divine source. Notice the progression:

They heard.
They received.
They believed.
God’s word continued working within them.

This is one of Paul's clearest affirmations of the authority of apostolic preaching. The gospel came through Paul, but its origin was God.

First Thessalonians, part 5, Mother and Father Paul

In 1 Thessalonians 2:7–12 Paul moves from negative defense to positive description. Rather than merely saying what he was NOT, he explains what he WAS. He uses two striking family metaphors: a nursing mother (vv. 7–8), and a father (vv. 11–12). Together they portray the tenderness and firmness required of faithful spiritual leadership.
1 Thessalonians 2:7 begins,
7 But we proved to be gentle among you, as a nursing mother tenderly cares for her own children.
Instead of asserting apostolic authority (v. 6), Paul chose gentleness. The Greek word ēpioi means gentle, kind, mild, and considerate. He compares himself to a nursing mother. The image emphasizes patience, self-sacrifice, tenderness, and constant care.
A nursing mother expects nothing in return. She gives of herself continually for the life of her child. Paul deliberately chooses one of the strongest images of selfless love found anywhere in human experience.
1 Thessalonians 2:8 continues,
8 Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-

First Thessalonians, part 4, Ministerial Integrity

Having praised the Thessalonians for their faith, Paul now turns to defend the integrity of his ministry. Apparently, after Paul was forced to leave Thessalonica (Acts 17:5–10), his opponents attempted to discredit him. They may have portrayed him as a wandering philosopher, an opportunist, or a religious charlatan who had abandoned his converts when trouble arose.
Paul answers these accusations not by boasting of his accomplishments but by appealing to the Thessalonians' own firsthand knowledge of his conduct among them.
1 Thessalonians 2:1 says,
1 For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain.
Paul begins with an appeal to their own experience. The word translated “vain” (kenos) means “empty, without result, or without substance.” His visit had not been an empty performance. It produced lasting fruit: they believed the gospel, abandoned idolatry, became examples to other churches,

First Thessalonians, part 3, The Model Church

1 Thessalonians 1:5 says,
5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.
Paul explains why he is confident that the Thessalonians are among God’s chosen people (v. 4). The gospel was not merely heard—it transformed them. It changed their lives and their entire outlook on life. In this case, they had been seeking God through Old Covenant Judaism, submitting themselves to a position of second-class citizenship in the Kingdom in order to know God through types and shadows.
New Covenant Transformation
Yet now they had heard Paul preaching the meat of the word (New Covenant antitypes), the good news that being “chosen” depended upon faith in Christ rather than physical genealogy. No doubt Paul had taught them Isaiah 56:6-

First Thessalonians, part 2, The Chosen Ones

1 Thessalonians 1:1 begins,
1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace.
Paul begins without asserting his apostleship, unlike Galatians or Romans. His authority was evidently not in question among the Thessalonians. The letter is written jointly from Paul, Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, reflecting the close partnership that had founded the church (Acts 17:1–9). The recipients are described in an unusual way:
The Greek word ekklesia means “assembly” or “called-out congregation.” Paul defines the church not by its location (Thessalonica) but by its spiritual position—it exists “in” God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ. Their earthly address is Thessalonica; their true sphere of life is union with God through Christ.
Paul places “God the Father” and “the Lord Jesus Christ” side by side as the common source of the church’s existence.

First Thessalonians, Introduction

First Thessalonians is generally regarded as the earliest of Paul's extant letters, written around A.D. 50–51 during his stay in Corinth on his second missionary journey. It provides a unique glimpse into the life of one of the first Christian congregations only a few months after its founding. Unlike Romans or Galatians, it is not primarily a theological treatise or a correction letter against heresy. Instead, it is a warm pastoral letter, filled with encouragement, thanksgiving, practical instruction, and hope.
Unlike Galatians, where Paul must defend the gospel itself, or Corinthians, where he corrects many abuses, Thessalonians is remarkably positive. Paul's affection for the church is evident throughout.
Historical Background
Paul first preached in Thessalonica during his second missionary journey (Acts 17:1–9). Thessalonica was the capital of the Roman province of Macedonia and one of the largest cities in Greece, with perhaps 50,000 to 100,000 inhabitants. Situated on the Via Egnatia,

The Prayer Campaign report

Some time ago, James Bruggeman asked if I would host a Tabernacles conference this year. I agreed to do so, but as it turned out, this is not possible. Neither of us is able to take on this responsibility this year, so I am letting you know that we cannot do so. Right now, I do not know why God is not letting us hold a Tabernacles conference, but perhaps we will know more next month.
Open the Gates Wide prayer campaign on August 3, 2026 was an important event and turning point. We have received confirmation of its success, as well as the inevitable spiritual backlash. (There is always a “cost of war” when we have skin in the game, and this time is no different.) Overthrowing Azazel has caused a huge disruption, anger, and panic among his servants in the Babylonian system on earth.
As for the timing of this event, I can say that since 1971 God has worked with me on a series of 10-year plans 1971-1981-1991-2001, etc. There were also important midpoints in each cycle: 1976-1986-1996-2006-2016,

David Wilkerson's 1973 Vision

In recent years, since Europe has cut itself off from Russian oil and gas, Europe’s economy has been collapsing. Germany in particular is being de-industrialized, because without having a source of cheap energy, many of its products are no longer competitive in the global market.
The sanctions against Russia were supposed to hurt Russia, but instead it has hurt Europe. Oil prices have gone up, which means Russia makes more money. Trying to bleed Russia’s economy has backfired on the West, hurting Europe the most.
Japan, of course, is totally dependent on imported oil to run its economy. Its currency (yen) has been hard hit, and now the US treasury is bailing out Japan to support the Japanese yen.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GTX0HcbQmg
I remember reading David Wilkerson’s book, The Vision, published in 1973, where he prophesied things that appear to be coming into fulfillment finally.
In The Vision, Wilkerson wrote:

A turning point?

The more the US government identifies with Edomite Zionism, the more liability it incurs. When it finally fills up its “cup of iniquity,” as Scripture calls it, divine judgment will come in direct proportion to its sin.
No one (or country) can be an accessory to a crime and claim immunity from God’s court. Unfortunately, this also applies to much of the Church itself, at least the Christian Zionist portion of it. Note: 1 Peter 4:17,
17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
After reminding the people of the fact that Jerusalem had killed the prophets, Jesus pointed to the scribes and Pharisees in Matthew 23:32, saying, “Fill up, then, the measure of the guilt of your fathers.” Verse 35 continues,
35 so that upon you may fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Berechiah,

https://israel365news.com/420045/sanhedrin-rules-it-will-formally-petition-heaven-to-reveal-mashiach-and-rebuild-the-temple/

The written ruling, dated 6 Menachem Av, 5786, follows a session the court’s members described as several hours long, during which two of the judges argued against moving forward before ultimately joining the majority.”

[6 Menachem Av 5786) fell on Monday, July 20, 2026. When this ruling will be formally lodged (as a demand on heaven) is unclear. If I read this correctly, it looks like it will be lodged formally on the feast of Trumpets.]

NEW YORK/WASHINGTON, Aug 4 (Reuters) - The U.S. Army has used up much of its global stockpile of highly accurate long-range missiles during its five-month war with Iran, according to three people familiar with the data, raising concerns about the military's readiness for future conflicts….
The dramatic rundown in precision, long-range missiles means U.S. President Donald Trump may have to rely more on riskier, piloted bombing missions if he relaunches large-scale attacks on Iran….

But as the war drags on, the three people familiar with the matter expressed worry that the falling missile supplies could limit the U.S. ability to deter adversaries,
