We left off in our last bulletin by mentioning Hezekiah’s Second Passover that is recorded in 2 Chronicles 30-31. At the time, we did not know how these things applied to 2011, but the prophetic parallel was clear.
The problem is that studying prophetic parallels and patterns are often not as clear cut as a direct word from the Lord. Even so, the advantage of such study is that the prophetic patterns usually involve a whole story, so these actually contain more details than a simple revelation word. So the best and most complete study is to receive BOTH forms of revelation.
Hezekiah’s pattern gives the only biblical example we have of anyone actually observing the Second Passover. The priests had to be cleansed first, and then they cleansed the temple (2 Chron. 29:5, 17, 31).
Then they decided to keep the feast of Passover, which apparently had not been kept for some time. Hezekiah’s father, Ahaz, was not a godly man, but when he died, Hezekiah made the necessary changes in the first year of his reign (29:3). This was in 726 B.C., three years before the Assyrians began their three-year siege of Samaria (723-721).
Hezekiah decided to keep the Second Passover and to invite the Israelites from the northern kingdom. While many did come, most of them were not interested in the things of God. Many had already been deported to Assyria (since 745 B.C.), and many others had already fled to other “Phoenician” colonies around the Mediterranean Sea and along the Atlantic coast of Europe, Britain, and Ireland.
By the time the priests had consecrated themselves and the temple, it was too late to hold the regular Passover. So they found in the book of the law that they could keep the Passover in the second month (Num. 9:11). So the king sent messengers to invite the people to come in the second month on the Hebrew calendar (2 Chron. 30:2).
Many came (30:13), but most of them had not cleansed themselves to make them eligible to keep the Passover (30:17). Nonetheless, those who came to Jerusalem to keep the feast were desirous of obeying God. So Hezekiah prayed for them:
“May the good Lord pardon everyone who prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though not according to the purification rules of the sanctuary.”
Verses 20, 21 then read,
20 So the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people. 21 And the sons of Israel present in Jerusalem celebrated the feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days with great joy…
The people had such a blessed time in those seven days that they decided to keep another seven days.
23 Then the whole assembly decided to celebrate the feast another seven days, so they celebrated the seven days with joy.
This double feast of Unleavened Bread began on the 15th day of the second month and ended toward the end of the month. Then the tithes and offerings began to pour in to support the work of the temple. 2 Chron. 31:6-8 says,
6 And the sons of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah, also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of sacred gifts which were consecrated to the Lord their God, and placed them in heaps. 7 In the third month they began to make the heaps, and finished them by the seventh month. 8 And when Hezekiah and the rulers came and saw the heaps, they blessed the Lord and His people Israel.
The third month on the Hebrew calendar in 2011 runs from June 3 to July 2. So if this Hezekiah parallel applies to this year 2011, as we believe, we ought to see God’s provision begin during this third month ending July 2.
Keep in mind that the Israelites who came to Jerusalem to keep this feast were in the minority. In my view, they prophetically represent the Overcomers, or the inheritors of the Birthright, the True Israelites, who have always been just a remnant of the greater body of people.
This is the group referenced by the Apostle Paul in Romans 11:4, 5,
4 But what is the divine response to him [Elijah]? “I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 In the same way, then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice. . . 7 What then? That which Israel is seeking for, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened.
As with Elijah, so also with Hezekiah. The promise was to all Israel, but most were hardened and did not obtain the promise. Only the remnant of grace obtained it. Those who came to observe the Second Passover at the invitation of King Hezekiah were the remnant of grace.
I believe that this remnant of grace was spared when the Assyrians came to lay siege to Samaria a few years later. I believe that they escaped to Jerusalem and were there ten years later when the Assyrians attempted to conquer Jerusalem.
Isaiah was among them (2 Kings 19:2). He witnessed the conquest of Samaria and the deportation of the Israelites to Assyria. He prophesied to Hezekiah that the Assyrians would be turned back and would not conquer Jerusalem. His prophecy was fulfilled.
The point is to show that Hezekiah’s Second Passover was undoubtedly the factor that prevented the conquest of Jerusalem in those days. The people repented, cleansed themselves, kept the feast for two weeks, and then went out and destroyed all the idols and shrines to false gods. We read in 2 Chron. 31:1,
1 Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, broke the pillars in pieces, cut down the Asherim, and pulled down the high places, and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the sons of Israel returned to their cities, each to his possession.
It is interesting that of the Israelites themselves, only two tribes are mentioned: Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph, who was the Birthright holder (1 Chron. 5:1, 2).
This suggests prophetically that these Israelites represent the Birthright holders who each returned to his possession (inheritance). They represent the remnant of grace. The work that they did was to destroy false religion.
Today, our method is different under the New Covenant. We seek to convert the hearts of the people, so that they are able to destroy their own idols. Forcing idolaters to conform to the truth does not change hearts, but merely enslaves them to conform to what is not in their hearts.
So today’s equivalent of this destruction of idolatry is what men would call a genuine Holy Spirit revival. It brings about a change of heart, not merely a change of religion or conformity to the views of more powerful men.
The story of Hezekiah’s Second Passover, then, is a prophecy of the remnant of grace getting right with God, identifying with the True Temple (in heaven), and then being commissioned by the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill the promises given to Abraham—to be a blessing to all the families of the earth.
It is also designed to reverse the effects of the captivity and deportation of the House of Israel. It reunites the Scepter of Judah with the Birthright of Joseph. In the days of Hezekiah, the remnant of grace sought to bring revival in order to prevent this captivity. Today the remnant of grace brings revival in order to restore that which was lost by that captivity.
If we are reading this correctly, and if indeed this is the year to watch for these things, it should be apparent “in the third month” when the divine provision is made for the work of the True Temple (not a physical temple in the old Jerusalem).
In the past few FFI’s we have discussed the patterns re-emerging from 2001 now in 2011, according to the Hezekiah Factor (10-year cycle).
After the warfare in Feb-Mar, 2001 to overthrow the golden calves, we were led to issue a decree to annul Israel’s idolatrous marriage and to disinherit the “children” of those golden calves. The next step was to issue a New Covenant Marriage Proposal on June 19, 2001, designed to bring America into a proper covenant relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Overcomer representatives were asked to respond, based upon their authority as guardians of the Bride. Their position of authority gave their response weight in the Divine Court, once the transfer of authority had been completed in November of 2000.
This Marriage Proposal was dated June 19, 2001. At the time, I did not understand how this Proposal tied in with the previous patterns established in earlier years on that same date. But now it is more apparent.
Here is what happened in 1989 and in 1997. . .
In the last half of the third month, patterns have emerged which parallel the events of 1989 and 1997.
On June 12, 1989 I receive a word from the Lord that instructed me to make a trip to Corpus Christi, TX and engage in spiritual warfare to stop a hurricane from hitting that city. Corpus Christi means “body of Christ,” and this was highly symbolic of a work to protect the Body of Christ (the Bride). In 2011, June 12 was Pentecost.
He said this:
“The purpose of this trip is primarily to prevent the Manchild from being slaughtered once again, for this time I begin to move to prevent this. The sealing of the heartland is to protect My Elect, My true Bride, and the trip to Corpus Christi is to seal My Son, that He may now come to full birth within the heart of My Bride.”
My instructions were to await God’s provision, by which He would show me when to go and how far to travel. The word was as follows:
“I will provide in My own time and way. You will know by My Provision when to go and how far to go. . . I alone will do it and will provide for My work. . . All things shall be provided as you walk in My plan as I have laid out for you.”
I did not tell anyone of this, other than my wife, for I knew that God had to do this without any help from the flesh. That way I would know for certain that I was to make the trip—and when to go.
This trip actually began on June 19, 1989, but I had to lay some foundations in four places north, south, east, and west of Mount Nebo, the highest point in Arkansas. This had to do with the Ark of the Covenant and the glory of God, because this mount was named for the one where Moses died (Deut. 34:1-5) and where Jeremiah later hid the Ark of the Covenant (2 Maccabees 2:4-8):
4 It was also contained in the same writing that the prophet [Jeremiah], being warned of God, commanded the tabernacle and the ark to go with him as he went forth into the mountain where Moses climbed up and saw the heritage of God. 5 And when Jeremiah came thither, he found a hollow cave, wherein he laid the tabernacle and the ark and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door. 6 And some of those that followed him came to mark the way, but they could not find it. 7 Which, when Jeremiah perceived, he blamed them, saying, “As for that place, it shall be unknown until the time that God gather his people again together, and receive them unto mercy. 8 Then shall the Lord show them these things, and the glory of the Lord shall appear, and the cloud also, as it was showed under Moses, and as when Solomon desired that the place might be honorably sanctified.”
At each of the four points of the compass 100 miles from Mount Nebo, I saw signs of the destruction and dispersal of the house of Israel and was led to prophesy restoration and renewal. In particular, the southern point is of interest, because the Lord gave me a vision of an old burned-out house with a large tree in front, and a gravel driveway between them—all enclosed in a forest. I found the place precisely 100 miles south of Nebo, though I actually drove past it the first time and nearly missed it again when I doubled back.
Not until June 19, 2001 was I able to connect this restoration work to the Ark of the Covenant and to the New Covenant Marriage Proposal.
A check for $1000 arrived on June 23, 1989, and so I drove to Texas, arriving at Corpus Christi on June 27. I spent the night there and concluded the work on June 28. On this trip I received further revelation about what this was supposed to accomplish. First, tropical storm Allison formed in the Gulf at the start of my trip. By prophetic intervention, it was unable to become a hurricane.
Secondly, it was revealed that the Bride of Christ was “the Pearl of Great Price” represented by Corpus Christi. This was an intercessory trip to protect the Bride as well as to bring “revival” to her, so that she might also bring healing to the nations by the power of the Spirit.
Thirdly, it was revealed even before arriving in Corpus Christi that the Lord would send me a second time later to the same city to “crown the Bride.” The word was:
“This shall prevent the hurricane from striking the city, and it shall die. On the second time you enter Corpus Christi, the Bride shall be crowned with glory and raised up to sit in My throne with Me.”
I had no idea what that was about until eight years later (1997).
On June 19, 1997 a group of 18 intercessors made a trip to China as tourists. Their underlying purpose was to make intercession for China itself, that they might receive the Gospel of the Kingdom and the outpouring of the Spirit.
They arrived in Hong Kong on June 21 and then crossed the border into China itself carrying many Bibles. They wondered what would happen at the border crossing, since it was heavily guarded. When they arrived, they found the border crossing virtually abandoned, so they walked in with their Bibles unhindered.
After singing and praying their way around China, they arrived back in Hong Kong on June 28, precisely eight years after I had finished my Corpus Christi work in 1989. Then they stayed a few days longer to witness the transfer of Hong Kong from Britain to China on July 1, 1997.
Hong Kong is known as “the Pearl of the Orient,” even as Corpus Christi is (to us) the Pearl of Great Price. But in this case, the pearl was being given to China. The fireworks display over the harbor that night portrayed a red dragon being given a pearl. Ah, the wonders of technology!
There is an old revelation from 30 years ago: “July is like September.” In other words, each year some event in July is either echoed or fulfilled in September on the same day of the month. In this case, July 1 was to be like September 1.
In August of that year, a number of people began to have pieces of revelation which, when put together, told me that I was to make a trip to Corpus Christi. Darla was to represent the Bride on this trip. One had a revelation of coming into unity, another saw the name “Victoria,” another had revelation of placing boundary markers to protect Corpus Christi. I combined these with my own revelations from 1985 and 1989.
I came to see that the timing of this trip was previously set by the intercessors’ trip to China June 19-28. If July is like September, then June is like August. So we left on August 19, knowing that we had to complete the work of intercession on August 28.
We were to go to Padre Island, just off the coast from Corpus Christi, and set a boundary marker, prophesying that no “dragon” (i.e., hurricane) could cross that line. This was done according to the law in Deut. 19:14,
14 You shall not move your neighbor’s boundary mark, which the ancestors have set, in your inheritance which you shall inherit in the land that the Lord your God gives you to possess.
The Pearl of Great Price was the Lord’s inheritance, so we set a boundary that the dragon was unable to cross. We then drove to Victoria, TX, where Darla and I entered into a New Covenant marriage performed by Bob Henley and witnessed by Bill and Joan Thorpe. The Bride wore a pearl-colored dress with the same color shoes, and she received a pearl ring. This took place on August 22.
We then drove along the Gulf coast all the way to the southernmost point in North America at Key West, FL. There we established the second boundary marker on August 26. From there we drove to Statesville, NC, where we established the third and final boundary marker on August 28. This concluded the intercessory work itself. No hurricanes would cross that boundary along the Gulf Coast for a full year.
We understood from past experience and revelation that when the adversary is denied his primary target or objective, he will usually seek a secondary target. I had plenty of time to ponder this on that long trip to Florida. We had already seen the Pearl of the Orient given to the Red Dragon on July 1. What parallel event would occur on September 1?
Further, since there were only 30 days in June, but 31 in August, I did not know if the event would occur on August 31 or on September 1. But I figured the target would have to be a woman representing the Bride, that she would be more vulnerable for some reason, and that she would be from Europe. (After all, the boundary markers were designed to protect America from this red dragon.)
As I wrote earlier, we concluded our intercessory work on August 28 and then began driving back to Minnesota. We stopped in Detroit for a meeting on the evening of August 30, and at the hotel I turned on the television to watch the news. It was all about a tragic car accident in Paris that had injured Princess Diana.
She was the alternate target. As a member of royalty, she represented the Church, since the monarchs there are the heads of the Church of England and not merely political leaders. Diana died in the early morning hours of Aug. 31.
