When the Church miscarried the Manchild in the 70th generation of the Church, as described in Part 1 of this series, my first impression was actually: "The Church has aborted the Manchild." A miscarriage is different from an abortion, of course. One is accidental, the other is deliberate.
The example that I related was, of course, simply a miscarriage, and therefore not deliberate. Like Hezekiah said in 2 Kings 19:3, "This is a day of distress, rebuke, and rejection; for children have come to birth, and there is no strength to deliver." It is a matter of an inherent spiritual weakness in the Church, because Pentecost itself is only an earnest of the Spirit and not the fullness. It requires the feast of Tabernacles to bring forth the Manchild.
Yet in 1985 I could not shake the feeling that the Church had aborted the Manchild as well. In other words, some Christians miscarry; others actually abort the Manchild as a deliberate act. It was four years before I learned of a second sign that had occurred on April 9, 1985, besides the miscarriage. Another young woman, a type and sign of the Church, had actually had an abortion on that day.
I learned about it in 1989, when the Lord spoke to me and told me that she had had an abortion. He said that I was to go to her and lead her in a prayer of repentance. This I did, and I must say that the tears of repentance were beautiful. Yes, there is forgiveness with God.
Beyond this, I decline to relate the details of the story. It is enough to establish the sign that many in the Church deliberately abort the Manchild and crucify Christ afresh.
Through all of this, I learned that the Church has been aborting and miscarrying the Manchild for 70 Manchild generations. Each individual, of course, has different reasons and different ways of doing it. And I should hasten to add that even though such spiritual abortion is "deliberate," they usually do not know what they are doing. In this way, it is much like at Jesus' crucifixion, where Jesus prayed, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
In Jesus' day, the chief priests and leaders of the people crucified Him because Jesus was the wrong kind of Messiah in their eyes. They wanted a military commander who hated the Romans and would overthrow them. They wanted a Messiah who would be like themselves and who would choose them to govern the people. It was largely a matter of power (position) and money.
Today, religious leaders reject the Manchild largely for the same reason. They prefer a military Messiah coming in the clouds to save the Jews and slaughter their enemies. They want a Messiah who will choose the chief priests and Jewish leaders to rule over the world, regardless of their love of Zionistic violence and of their hatred for Jesus. The Church is again looking for the wrong Messiah!
Secondly, the people want merely an external Messiah who comes physically out of heaven. They have little concept the manifestation of the sons of God--the Body on whom the Head will come. They often "get saved" through a powerful hell-fire motive; but once saved, many simply go about their lives waiting for the rapture. Once they have qualified for citizenship in the Kingdom, they think this is pretty much all that there is, other than going out and getting other people saved.
Pentecostals, to their credit, urge people to move on into the baptism of the Spirit, but because they do not understand the origins of Pentecost and its link to Mount Sinai, their teaching is usually incomplete and shallow.
There is relatively little motivation to grow into full spiritual maturity, because few have been taught the principles of the Feast of Tabernacles. For this reason, many do not have the strength to bring forth the Manchild.
Many years ago I learned a very important principle. The day of Pentecost in Acts 2 was the coronation of King Saul and his kingdom. (See my book, "The Wheat and Asses of Pentecost.") In practice, this means that the Church has been "ruling," and the world has been following the "decrees" which they speak by their example--usually unconsciously. When the Church was relatively pure as it went through the fires of Roman persecution, it guaranteed that the Roman Empire would ultimately follow its example and become Christian. But when the persecution stopped, and the Church increasingly became focused upon power and money, the world followed their example as well.
In other words, the Church adopted the world's standards of morality and its carnal outlook, rather than being a beacon of light in the darkness. THe immorality in the world that the Church condemns today, it will largely adopt in about 20 years. The Church seems to lag behind the world by only about 20 years.
When the Church began aborting the Manchild, it unconsciously sent forth the decree from the court of King Saul that legalized abortion. Thus, what the Church spiritually decreed, the world complied. That is why we have legalized abortion not only in America but in most parts of the world. They are only following the decree of King Saul.
For this reason, God made a separation in 1985. As long as the overcomers were part of the Church under Pentecost, they could not independently bring forth the Manchild. They were part of a larger corporate body of believers who had, in effect, "voted" against bringing forth the Manchild, preferring Pentecost and its leaven (Lev. 23:17).
So in 1985 God separated the overcomers from the Church (Pentecost) into a new and distinct body of people. It was so that God could begin to work within a new, smaller group of people who would bring forth the Manchild.
In 1990 I learned the basic law on which this was based. It is found in Deut. 22:9, "You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seeds, lest all the produce of the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard become defiled."
In 1990 I learned the biblical difference between barley and wheat, and I have written about this in my books. (See "The Barley Overcomers.") The barley company of overcomers was sown in the field of wheat (the Church). It was because Caleb and Joshua (the overcomers) were part of the church of Israel that they had to wait 40 years to enter the Promised Land. They could not go in by themselves, because they were part of a corporate body. So it has been with the Church under Pentecost. Thus, ultimately, to fulfill the prophetic law, God would have to separate the overcomers from the Church. This He did in 1985.
Thus, from God's perspective, the barley and wheat companies are two distinct sets of believers. The overcomers will inherit the first resurrection and will rule with Christ as "priests" in the Age of Tabernacles that is coming. The rest of the believers will be citizens, but they will remain mortal and not receive a glorified body until the general resurrection. Then they will receive their reward "with the unbelievers" (Luke 12:46), that is, at the same time as the unbelievers. (See also John 5:28, 29.)
Until the feast of Tabernacles is fulfilled, and the sons of God are manifested, there is still opportunity for anyone to move from the wheat field to the barley field. There is opportunity to inherit the first resurrection, rather than awaiting the general resurrection a thousand years later (Rev. 20:6).
