In John 7:37-39 Jesus prophesied about the Holy Spirit on the eighth day of Tabernacles. I believe that this set the timing for that event, so I point this out because today is the eighth day of Tabernacles in 2006, the "Year of Noah."
Yet when Jesus uttered his words at that time, there is no evidence that anyone came to Him to drink from the wells of salvation. Yeshua means "Salvation," and the New Testament often uses His earthly name as a reminder that He was the fulfillment of the Old Testament passages that speak of "salvation," such as Isaiah 12:2 and 3,
" Behold, God is my Yeshua [Salvation]; I will trust and not be afraid; for Yah Yahweh is my strength and my song; He also has become my Yeshua [Salvation]. Therefore, with joy shall you draw water out of the wells of Yeshua [Salvation]."
This is the passage that Jesus was referencing when He told thirsty people to come to Him for water. He was "the well of Yeshua" prophesied in Isaiah 12.
Running parallel with this prophecy is the eight-day consecration period of the priests in Leviticus 8 and 9. In fact, this is one of the primary reasons why the feast of Tabernacles is eight days in length. It is meant to overlay upon the eight days of priestly consecration. Lev. 8:33 says,
"And you shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation for seven days until the days of your consecration come to an end; for seven days shall He consecrate you."
A few verses later, in Lev. 9:1, we read what happened at the end of those seven days, "And it came to pass on the eighth day that Moses called Aaron and his sons." He called them out of the tabernacle and told them to make certain sacrifices, "for today the Lord will appear unto you" (vs. 4).
This is repeated in verse 6, saying, "and the glory of the Lord shall appear unto you."
It was then fulfilled in verses 23 and 24, ". . . and the glory of the Lord appeared unto the people. And there came a fire out from before the Lord . . . ."
To "appear" means to manifest. This prophesies of the manifestation of the glory of God in His people. In Moses' day, He manifested as fire and consumed the burnt offering. But today we understand that we are the offering, the "living sacrifice" that is acceptable to God (Rom. 12:1). The sign of our acceptance is that He consumes the flesh with fire, manifesting in us.
This divine acceptance is what qualifies us as Melchizedek priests to minister to others as "priests of God and of Christ" (Rev. 20:6). And this is also why the feast of Tabernacles requires eight days, for it is a consecration to the priesthood. The glory comes on the eighth day of the feast, as Jesus prophesied, and this begins their ministry.
It does not appear that today is the day when we will see the zenith of this prophecy fulfilled. If it were, we would have seen other things fulfilled leading up to this day. However, we have certainly seen the feast fulfilled on a lesser level, which not only teaches us the meaning of Tabernacles, but also is imparting to us a new anointing for the Open Door Ministry that lies ahead.
Yesterday was a very meaningful day, as many at our conference received an inner healing as the roots of bitterness were removed by the power of forgiveness and Jubilee. We saw signs of this last June 28 in the prayer campaign called "He Cares." Recall that I was in Eureka, California at the time. It was thirteen years since a problem arose in Eureka, Montana in the Bitterroot Mountains in 1993. Thankfully, not everyone had to go through that real-life experience, but one couple did on behalf of the body. And since we are all one body, what they experienced for 13 years was effectual for the entire body.
Through this prayer campaign, all were given opportunity to participate in the uprooting of the root of bitterness, not only for yourselves personally, but also corporately on behalf of the nation and the world. All spiritual warfare is viewed as resolving an external problem in the nation and the world, but in fact it is resolved by looking inward and uprooting it from our own hearts.
This is how we benefit personally from our work, for we become the first partaker of the fruits of our labor. It is the divine law against muzzling the ox that treads out the grain. Since the ox is doing the work, he is the first to eat the fruit of his labor.
So I thank you for your prayer. Please continue to pray for us today as we meet. You do not have to be here to participate in our blessings. It only requires that you be one with us in spirit, for then, when one weeps, we all weep; and when one rejoices, we all rejoice.
