The FBI has published a document that concludes that “conspiracy theories” can motivate believers to commit crimes.

…The FBI document says that conspiracy theories “are usually at odds with official or prevailing explanations of events.” Note the use of “official” and “prevailing.” Official explanations are explanations provided by governments. Prevailing explanations are the explanations that the media repeats. Examples of official and prevailing explanations are: Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction, Assad’s use of chemical weapons, Iranian nukes, Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the official explanation by the US government for the destruction of Libya. If a person doubts official explanations such as these, that person is a “conspiracy theorist.”
Official and prevailing explanations do not have to be consistent with facts. It is enough that they are official and prevailing. Whether or not they are true is irrelevant. Therefore, a person who stands up for the truth can be labeled a conspiracy theorist, monitored, and perhaps pre-emptively arrested….
What the FBI report does, intentionally or unintentionally, is to define a conspiracist as a person who doubts official explanations. In other words, it is a way of preventing any accountability of government. Whatever the government says, no matter how obvious a lie, will have to be accepted as fact or we will be put on a list to be monitored for preemptive arrest.
In effect, the FBI’s document reduces the First Amendment, that is, free speech, to the right to repeat official and prevailing explanations. Any other speech is a conspiratorial belief that can lead to the commission of a crime.
COMMENT: All governments lie to their people, but only a few actually pass laws allowing them to do so. In 2013 the government was given the right to lie to Americans domestically. They call it “propaganda.”

At the same time, it is a crime to lie to a government official. Such a two-tiered system of justice defeats the entire spirit of equal justice. No wonder our founders showed such a suspicion of government, causing them to bind the government by strict laws and to extend rights to the people which were given by God alone.
The Declaration of Independence made it clear that all rights are granted by “the Creator,” and that the mandate of all legitimate governments was to defend those rights. But in the 1960’s God was dethroned over America, and this left man’s government as the grantor of rights. President Obama later proclaimed that America was no longer a Christian nation.
In other words, government was no longer accountable to the Christian God. From appearances, we have instead begun the transition into becoming an Islamic nation.

Now the FBI under Christopher Wray has come out with a new policy that actually makes it a crime to question the propaganda that the government is allowed to set forth. Surely, nothing can go wrong with that!
It has been said that a man’s word is everything. A man is only as good as his word. A liar is not to be trusted, and Scripture has a lot to say about liars.
I have said for a long time, “If the government gives itself the right to lie, then I claim the right not to believe them.”
It appears that now the FBI is trying to make that a crime as well.
We need to call for Christopher Wray’s immediate dismissal and the repeal of this appalling FBI policy.
