View Full Tract ListIsraeli forces make no distinction between Palestinians and Hamas. Neither do they distinguish between Christian women and Hamas. Here it is reported that an Israeli tank destroyed a convent and destroyed a generator that was needed to keep disabled persons alive. The Israelis are obviously displacing the entire population of Gaza and trying to pressure Egypt to take them in as refugees, so that the land can be given to Israeli settlers.
Most of the world sees this clearly, and so the US government’s support for these war crimes are negatively affecting America’s image around the world. Church support for this ethnic cleansing is limited largely to the American churches, but I wonder if Jesus will get a black eye on account of His lawless disciples.
The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem is reporting that two Catholic women were shot and killed by an Israeli sniper while inside Holy Family Parish in Gaza around the same time an Israeli tank destroyed the Convent of the Sisters of Mother Theresa (Missionaries of Charity).
“One was killed as she tried to carry the other to safety,” the statement read. “Seven more people were shot and wounded as they tried to protect others inside the church compound. No warning was given, no notification was provided. They were shot in cold blood inside the premises of the Parish, where there are no belligerents.”
The Patriarchate also explained that the IDF “destroyed” the Convent’s generator and fuel resources this morning. More than 50 in-need people reside at the home, which the Patriarchate says was designated as a place of worship at the start of the conflict.
“The house was damaged by the resulting explosion and massive fire. Two more rockets, fired by an IDF tank, targeted the same Convent and rendered the home uninhabitable. The 54 disabled persons are currently displaced and without access to the respirators that some of them need to survive.”
