We had the potential of entering the Kingdom in 1948 at the end of 8 cycles of Cursed Time (8 x 414 years) since Israel’s first captivity (Judges 3:8) to the king of Mesopotamia. See Appendix F in the 2024 edition of Secrets of Time. In the sequence of prophetic events, the church was given revelations of the Kingdom in the same manner as Israel had received them under Moses.
The Protestant Reformation gave us the Passover revelation of justification by faith alone. Then the Wesleys gave us the Red Sea (baptism) revelation through the Holiness movement. Then we went to Elim, the place of the 70 palms (nations) and 12 wells of salvation, which began the great missionary movements in the 1800’s. Then we went to Marah, where we received the revelation of healing. From there we went to Mount Sinai for Pentecost (1900).
Finally, the Latter Rain movement (1948-1952) gave us the revelation of divine government and the restoration of all things, comparable to Israel at Kadesh-barnea. However, just as the Israelites believed the evil report of the 10 spies and lacked faith to fight the giants, so also did the Latter Rain movement fail to bring us into the Kingdom at that time.
Instead, the Israelites had to wait many years in the wilderness before being allowed to enter the Kingdom—this time not from the south at Kadesh-barnea but from the east through the Jordan.
Before the Israelites could get to the Jordan River to prepare to cross over into the plains of Jericho, they had to make a long detour around Edom. The Edomites would not allow Israel to take a short cut through their territory. We read of this in Numbers 20:14-21. So in order to enter the Kingdom (Canaan), Israel had to go around Edom.
This set a prophetic pattern for us today as well.
The detour around Edom played into a bigger prophetic picture, giving time for Edom to prove itself worthy of the birthright that had been denied them through Jacob’s deception (Genesis 27:22-26). As a result, when Isaac discovered the deception, he told Esau, “When you shall have the dominion, you will break his [Jacob’s] yoke from off your neck” (Genesis 27:40 KJV).
In other words, because Jacob took the birthright in an unlawful manner (in a carnal attempt to fulfill the earlier prophecy that the older will serve the younger), it would be necessary at some point for Jacob to return this “dominion” to Esau, giving him time to prove himself unworthy of it. This is what happened in 1948 when the Union Jack (Jacob) was lowered in Palestine, and the dominion was given to the Zionists, who today represent Esau-Edom.
Recall that Edom was later conquered and absorbed into Jewry in 126 B.C., showing that all the prophecies regarding Edom were adopted by the Jews, especially Malachi 1:1-4. The Edomites always believed that Jacob had cheated them out of the land of Canaan, and so they had aspirations of returning to the land. This is Edomite Zionism. It is being fulfilled through that portion of world Jewry which is Zionistic. It manifests the carnal desires of the flesh and the bloodthirsty nature of Edom/Mount Seir (Ezekiel 35:6).
For many years, my question was this: How long had God given Edom to prove itself unworthy, so that the true inheritors (overcomers) could lay claim to the birthright and the birthright name Israel? The overcomers (remnant of grace) have always been the true heirs, prophetically speaking. But prophecy speaks of future things, and even an heir is no different (in status) from a servant (Galatians 4:1, 2) until the time appointed by law.
The answer became clear in the aftermath of October 7, 2023, when Hamas broke out of its open-air prison camp in Gaza, where the Palestinian refugees from 1948 had been oppressed for decades. The Israelis, of course, blamed Hamas, ignoring the fact that this was a response to decades of oppression. The bloody response, killing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian men, women, and children in Gaza manifested the bloodthirsty spirit of Edom
The point is that dating from the UN Palestinian Resolution to divide Palestine (November 29, 1947) until October 7, 2023 was almost 76 years, the biblical number of cleansing. By the end of that cycle on November 29, 2023, it was abundantly clear that Edom had proven itself unworthy and that God was removing His hand of protection upon Esau to fulfill the prophecies of total destruction upon Edom (Isaiah 34:5). The prophet puts it in legal terms from the divine court: “the controversy [legal case] of Zion” (Isaiah 34:8 KJV).
Hence, by November of 2023 the Israeli state has been embroiled in the final war that will not cease until Jerusalem is fully destroyed (Jeremiah 19:10, 11). Last June we observed the so-called “12-day war,” where the Israelis attacked Iran/Persia and were surprised that Iran actually fought back. The Israelis were quickly running out of patriot missiles and begged Donald Trump to stop the war. (Actually, I believe they threatened to go nuclear if they ran out of conventional weaponry, forcing Trump’s hand. They did this in 1973 as well in the Yom Kippur war.)
Last June it appeared that Jerusalem would be destroyed, but the war died down while both sides re-armed. Today that war resumed, and the big question is how this will end. Is this the final war that fulfills Bible prophecy? Will Jerusalem be nuked as suggested in Isaiah 29:5, 6? Or will this war again subside and be renewed at a later time? I do not know, but it is something to watch.
Prophecy is limited in scope. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Malachi, and other prophets tell us the spiritual reasons why God intends to destroy the earthly Jerusalem. It is because it is the spiritual mother of the children of the flesh (Galatians 4:25). It is necessary to cast out the bondwoman in order to establish the rights of the free woman and her son.
Likewise, this war is designed to destroy Edom after ruling against them in their claim to the birthright and the promises of God—i.e., the controversy of Zion.
But what effect will this have on the other nations and upon America and upon Christian Zionists? In general, because America and Christian Zionists have aligned themselves with Edom, they will not escape a certain level of divine judgment. They support Edom’s claim to the birthright, and (by another view) they support the claim of the children of the flesh.
Will this pass unnoticed in the divine court? No, of course not. Those who support Esau’s claim to the birthright will share in the judgment against Esau. To what extent? I do not know, but they will not bear the brunt of this judgment, because they have supported Esau blindly, thinking that the Jews were Israelites.
Just as Jacob stole Esau’s identity in Genesis 27, so also Esau has stolen Jacob’s identity in our time. Isaac’s blindness (Genesis 27:1) is being fulfilled in the church’s blindness today. Blindness is a mitigating circumstance in any divine court. Hence, the church is guilty only of blindly aiding Esau’s case. When God fully destroys Zionism, Christian Zionists will either lose faith in Bible prophecy or they will seek answers.
Those who have answers will suddenly become extremely valuable. The prophets who have supported Edom will suddenly lose all credibility. You who have studied the Scriptures and who understand the history of Edom will be the ones who can put their shattered faith back on track. How important is this? Not nearly as important today as it will be in the coming months.
We are living in the end of an age and the beginning of the age to come. Prepare for it while you still have time. If you have not done so already, I suggest reading up on the full history of Edom in my book, which can be read free of charge here:
