Overcoming the Prince of Persia

The present war with Iran is not new. What we are seeing is just the latest escalation of a war that began in 1953, when the CIA overthrew the Iranian president and installed the Shah in his place.

Eisenhower. came to a head in August 1953 when Mosaddegh and his government were overthrown and Mohammad Reza, a pro-Western monarch, was returned to power.”

I was too young at the time to know anything about this. In fact, we had just arrived in the Philippines, where my parents were missionaries. I was three years old.

My participation in this came much later, beginning in March of 1986, when I was taken in the spirit to a “dungeon” in Saudi Arabia. There I saw my angel guarding a bear-like beast, which was later identified as the Prince of Persia. The angel told me that this was “the beast of war” that was called to “devour much flesh.” Strangely enough, it took about 2 months for me to connect this to the Persian “bear” revealed in Daniel 7:5 KJV.

The angel revealed that this beast would have to be released shortly, and that this would result in two wars in the Mideast. I wrote about this in my booklet, The 1986 Vision of the Two Gulf Wars.

The first, of course, began with Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait in August 1989, followed by the US invasion of Iraq in February of 1990. The second prophesied war began properly on September 11, 2001 with the demolition of the Twin Towers, followed by the US invasion of Afghanistan on October 7, 2001.

Spiritual Patterns Leading to the War

Each year God gives us spiritual clues in the first few months of the year, which lay foundations for events culminating in September-October (ending on the 8^th day of Tabernacles). In 2001, the 8^th of Tabernacles fell on October 9, so the Afghan war’s actual military conflict began just as the Prophetic Year was ending.

Yet earlier in the year, we received revelation on January 22, 2001 that the Prince of Persia was going to file a case in the divine court against us and that he was being empowered and backed by the church under Pentecost. The church was disgruntled, because it had lost the dominion mandate at the end of Tabernacles on October 22, 2000. Hence, it was challenging the authority of the overcomers, who were being empowered by the feast of Tabernacles, going beyond Pentecost.

The heads-up was given on January 22, 2001, telling us that this court case would be filed on January 29. We were required to answer it at 9:00 a.m. (Central Time). At 10:30 the postman arrived, giving us a letter from a disgruntled Pentecostal who issued a strongly-worded challenge, accusing me of causing great harm to the church, and commanding me to cease and desist all spiritual operations, teachings, and trips. Though it was addressed to me personally, I understood that it was really a challenge to the overcomers as a whole.

It was interesting, though, that we had answered this in the divine court 1½ hours before we even received the challenge in the mail. So the letter confirmed the revelation, and we were not thrown into a state of confusion.

We did what Moses did when his authority was challenged. We put our staves before the Lord to see which would bear fruit. Then God told us to wait for His ruling on February 21. He did indeed rule in our favor, as expected, but the Pentecostal church, as usual, refused to submit to the Judge’s ruling. They declared war on February 26.

Spiritual Battles in 2001

That first battle lasted 2 days until February 28. The Lord revealed to us that the war would be fought in three battles: February 26-28, March 8, and March 22-24, 2001.

We are now seeing the results of those battles in 2026, twenty-five years later. (God is never in a hurry.) It appears that on February 26 the US government made its final decision to attack Iran (Persia), and then actually attacked on February 28. This correlated with the first spiritual attack in 2001.

On March 8, 2026 the US began to attack Iranian oil and gas facilities, escalating the war that would affect commercial activities world-wide. Iran responded in kind.

We are now approaching the manifestation of the third and final battle (March 22-24). So we should watch and pray in regard to events from Sunday to Tuesday.

Even this is not the end of the story. These three battles were just the beginning. We had more to do from March 24 to April 24, which we will discuss in the weeks ahead after we see how the battlefield in 2026 has progressed.

Perhaps the most significant time to watch will be from June 30 to July 11, because this was when (in 2001) the warfare escalated from the Prince of Persia to a spiritual world war. In my notes on July 11, I wrote: “America Attacked.”

Recall that according to the 1980 revelation that “July is like September,” July 11 was like September 11, a date that changed our world. The headlines for the next day read, “America Attacked.” By the end of the Prophetic Year, of course, the US had attacked Afghanistan.

It is obvious that 2001 is directly connected to 2026 in a cause-and-effect relationship. The events in 2026 have their roots primarily in the spiritual battles of 2001. You may want to refresh your memory about this by reading chapters 27-33 of Wars of the Lord.

Who is the Prince of Persia?

The Prince of Persia is the spiritual authority over the Mideast in general. His name comes from Daniel 10:13, as well as from Daniel 7:5:28. In long-term prophecy, he is the head of the second beast empire that God empowered when He stripped Judah of its dominion mandate in Jeremiah 27:6-8 on account of Judah’s failure to use that authority properly.

But the Prince of Persia also presides over a false version of Pentecost. True Pentecost has an anointing (1 John 2:20), which is often represented by olive oil. Persia has an anointing of crude oil. So the authority of the Prince of Persia extends beyond mere territory. It is a spirit that was empowered by God on account of the sin of Jerusalem/Judah, but that does not make it godly.

The angel in 1986 described this spirit as “the beast of war.” It instigated the Gulf War in 1990. It instigated the Afghan war in 2001. It has now instigated the attack on Iran/Persia in 2026. This does not necessarily implicate Iran or the Iranian people in general. It is the spirit that keeps them in bondage and lusts for blood. It does not seek to protect Iranians but to destroy as many people (on both sides) as it can.

Its tentacles reach into the church as well, wherever a false version of Pentecost is found. In today’s world, it is operating primarily through Christian Zionism, for this now inspires the US government to wage war against Iran. They are trying to save the Zionists from destruction, even though the Zionist state has steadfastly refused to repent from the rebellion against God that brought about the original destruction of Jerusalem in the days of Jeremiah.

Christian Zionism, with its attempt to revive the Old Covenant (Hagar) and set forth its children of the flesh as the true heirs of the promise, is the great apostasy that has arisen at the end of the age. With it has come the rapture doctrine and all the misconceptions of Dispensationalism that arose in the 1850’s. It perverted the Pentecostal outpouring in the early 1900’s, and we today are now eating the bitter fruit of that apostasy.

So when we reached the end of the 40 Jubilees of Pentecostal rule (33-1993 A.D.), “Saul” died, and we entered into a 7½ year transition from Saul to David (2 Samuel 5:4, 5). Hence, from May 30, 1993 (Pentecost) until November 30, 2000 was 7½ years. Five weeks earlier, at the feast of Tabernacles conference, we prophetically crowned David king of all Israel. David’s first act was to conquer the city of Jerusalem. The overcomers, acting as the successors of David, did that as a prophetic act on November 29, 2000 and replaced the earthly Jerusalem with the heavenly city the next day.

That is what caused the church to file its case against the overcomers on January 29, 2001. When we won the challenge in the divine court, they decided to fight God Himself by the power of the Prince of Persia. Christian Zionists have been fighting us ever since that time. We have now come to the earthly manifestation and emergence of the wars in 2001. Be certain that you are on the right side of this battle.
