Jesus is the Light of the World

I want to add a few thoughts to Pete's blog that was just posted.

John the baptist said that Jesus was the Light of the world, and that he (John) was called to bear witness of that light. John 1:8 and "God is light" (1 John 1:5). There are those who question Jesus' relationship to God Himself, that is, to YHVH. But the numeric value of YHVH is this:

Y = 10

H = 5

V = 6

H = 5

TOTAL = 26

Interestingly enough, if you multiply the above numbers, instead of adding them, it comes to 1500, which is the numeric value of phos, the Greek word for "Light." 10 x 5 x 6 x 5 = 1500.

If you square each of the above numbers for YHVH and add them together, it is:

(Y) 10 x 10 = 100

(H) 5 x 5 = 25

(V) 6 x 6 = 36

(H) 5 x 5 = 25

TOTAL = 186 (speed of light)

This brings us to another point . . .

The Greek word for "light" is phos. It has a numeric value of 1500.

The Hebrew word for "time" is spelled ayin (70), daleth (4), noon (50). It has a numeric value of 124.

The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second.  1500 (light) x 124 (time) = 186,000, the speed of light.

If you multiply the numeric value of Lord Jesus Christ (3168) by the speed of light (186), leaving off the zeros at the end, it comes to 589248. This is the distance to the sun in INCHES. (It is 93 million miles in inches.)

The Sun is not God, but God is certainly pictured by the Sun in Mal. 4:2. The Sun is the source of Light and Life on earth. The Sun's light is reflected by the Moon, which pictures the Church. There is a great deal of symbolism involved in God's creation, for the heavens declare the glory of God (Psalm 19:1).

The distance from the earth to the Sun is 93 million miles. It is no accident that agape ("Love") has a numeric value of 93, for it is the Love of God that has spanned the distance from God in heaven to man on earth.

Isaiah 9:2 speaks of the "Great Light," which has a numeric value of 250. Multiply this times the speed of light (186), and you get 250 x 186 = 46500. A circle with the circumference of 4650 has a diameter of 1480, which is the numeric value of "Christ."

There are countless mathematical connections between the numeric values of Scriptural terms and astronomy. Many of these are designed to tell us that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. Many of these are designed to picture our relationship with God. The mathematics of Scripture can be confusing to a non-mathematician, but God has other languages for those not good in math. For those who speak math, however, He knows their language and can speak to them in a language they know.
