In the last dinar blog I posted last week end, I made it sound like people from other countries were not allowed to own Iraqi dinars. I made the correction on that blog. What I meant to say is that, as far as I know, other nations are not licensing dealers to sell it in their own countries.
In other words, it is not illegal for the people to own dinars. It is just more difficult to buy them locally. And it may take longer for the banks in other countries to get set up to cash in the dinars once the revaluation takes place.
I don't know if there is special significance to this or not, but the Jordan Islamic Bank in the country of Jordan is listing the revaluation rate for the Iraqi dinar as $3.22. Since this was the rate prior to the UN sanctions in 1990, perhaps it is just a carry-over from that rate. I do not know how long this has been posted, whether recent or old, but it looks like it was just recently located by dinar watchers.

Look on the right-hand side of the site where it lists "Jordan Dinars 1.00". If you change that to Iraq Dinars and change the line under it from euro to "US dollars", you will see that it is listed as $3.22.
Once again, there are strong rumors of revaluation this week end. We will see. It is quite possible for the following reason . . .
Passover New Year--Again
A year ago Bob had a revelation that the New Year's celebration would be like a "Passover New Year's Day." I went to a local church that night and taught for over 2 hours until the wee hours of the morning.
Last week I received a phone call confirming that this year was again a Passover New Year's. It is clear that this year January 14/15 is "Passover" on some level. Passover was to be held on the 14/15 of Abib, which is the Hebrew first month. Our first month is January; hence, January 14/15 is "Passover" in some way this year.
Israel left the house of bondage carrying the wealth of Egypt (Ex. 12:35, 36) on the 15th day of the 1st month. So this is a possible watch date for the revaluation to occur.
If this week end is "Passover," then last week end was a type of "Palm Sunday." I went to the same church last week end to see if the Father might give confirmation of this. The teaching and ministry afterward involved "cleansing the temple," which is something that Jesus did on Palm Sunday (Matt. 21:4-13).
So our understanding of timing is confirmed, that we are to apply the Hebrew 1st month to our own month of January in this manner.
The pastor of the church informed me after the meeting that he had scheduled an all-night prayer meeting and teaching session for this Friday night. He asked me to do some teaching once again, as I did last year at the New Year's celebration/prayer meeting. Recall that on the night of Passover, the people were to stay up all night praying and getting ready to leave the next morning.
I asked him how he came to schedule such a prayer meeting this Friday night, and he had no answer except that the Lord had laid it upon his heart to do so. Obviously, there is nothing wrong with his "hearing."
So the Passover celebration this week end is confirmed. I don't know for sure if it will culminate with the "wealth of Egypt" or not, but at the very least, it will be a Passover celebration.
Regardless, it looks like things are getting quite close.
