The curses of disobedience to the law continue in Deuteronomy 28:58-61,
58 If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord [Yahweh] your God, 59 then the Lord will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, even severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses. 60 And He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. 61 Also every sickness and every plague which, not written in the book of this law, the Lord will bring on you until you are destroyed.
It seems that the bulk of the curses for disobedience can be summarized into two categories: (1) ill health while the people are still in their land, and (2) war that destroys the nation and expels the people into foreign lands.
When we observe America in the past century, it is not hard to see that the nation is one of the most unhealthy nations in the world in terms of the cost of health care. A report was published in 2007 entitled: An Unhealthy America: The Economic Burden of Chronic Disease—Charting a New Course to Save Lives and Increase Productivity and Economic Growth. It says,
More than half of all Americans suffer from one or more chronic diseases. Despite dramatic improvements in therapies and treatment, the rates of disease have risen dramatically—and that rising rate is a crucial but frequently ignored contributor to rising medical expenditures….
Among the findings:
- More than 109 million Americans report having at least one of the seven diseases, for a total of 162 million cases.
- The total impact of these diseases on the economy is $1.3 trillion annually.
- Of this amount, lost productivity totals $1.1 trillion per year, while another $277 billion is spent annually on treatment.
- On our current path, in 2023 we project a 42 percent increase in cases of the seven chronic diseases.
- $4.2 trillion in treatment costs and lost economic output.
Much of this ill health is directly attributable to lawless farm practices, which pollutes the ground and poisons the water supply. The quantity of food has increased, but the nutritional quality has decreased. Few people starve in America, but few obtain the proper nutrition needed to sustain health. We are all subjected to thousands of poisons, each in small amounts and none of them in large enough doses to kill us immediately. But collectively they are enough to break down our immune system and make us susceptible to chronic disease within a few decades of life.
Americans have learned to depend upon expensive man-made drugs rather than upon the food that God has given to us freely. In fact, many “wonder drugs” are synthetic, man-made versions of things that God provided in nature. Environmentalists decry the destruction of the Amazon rain forests, saying that many plant species might be lost before men learn their medicinal effects. Pharmaceutical companies, they say, need to study these plants so that they can use them as models for more man-made drugs.
But if God has given us cures in nature free of charge, why should we depend on expensive man-made treatments that only manage disease? This too is a product of Babylonian culture. Our bodies have no deficiency of drugs. The deficiency is nutritional, because our bodies need that which God has provided.
The underlying problem is that men have usurped the earth for their own profit. And then to increase those profits, they have waged war on nature itself in order to eliminate the competition from God and nature. This is the mentality also behind the creation of genetically modified frankenfoods. Monsanto and others are attempting to eliminate all non-GMO seeds and to replace them with their own man-made creations, so that all men will have to eat their products.
Meanwhile, Americans become increasingly unhealthy, and the pharmaceutical companies develop more treatments to keep their customers alive longer without curing their diseases. The study above says, “in 2023 we project a 42 percent increase in cases of the seven chronic diseases.” This is the curse of the law upon a disobedient nation.
Moses continues in Deuteronomy 28:62,
62 Then you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven for multitude, because you did not obey the Lord your God.
The Babylonian system makes it difficult to support a large population. Seldom do people starve on account of a lack of food. They starve for lack of money to buy food. The beast systems of men favor the wealthy few rather than the populace in general. So the rich become richer, while the poor tend to become poorer. Under Babylon, the solution is education. The Kingdom of God also encourages education, but it is less important, because of its laws of land inheritance.
In biblical times the Canaanites killed their children and buried them in the walls of their houses as a religious ritual. Today we are more scientific and are able to abort babies. Either way, it keeps down the population through legalized murder.
This is encouraged by the conditions under which we live in the Babylonian system. With the steady inflation of prices and deflation in the value of Federal Reserve notes, it is more and more difficult for a family to live on a single income. Hence, more and more women are pressured by financial concerns into working outside the home. I do not believe it is inherently wrong for women to have careers; my concern is that in today’s society they have little choice in this, because it takes two incomes to support a family.
This fact has made abortion look attractive as an economic solution. Children are seen as a threat or hindrance to a woman’s career, rather than as a blessing from God.
When abortion was legalized in America in 1973, another problem was set into motion that would manifest itself within a single generation. The children who were supposed to support Social Security of the elderly were no longer there to provide that support. There are now only two or three workers supporting each person on Social Security.
To make matters worse, a high percentage of those senior citizens have one or more chronic disease. Most of them are unable to pay for the expensive management of their disease, and so the public must bear that expense as well.
The government’s solution has been to encourage immigration, both legal and illegal. They pretend to oppose illegal immigration, but in the end they do little to stop it. The border patrol is underfunded and undermanned, and this is done deliberately. This was seen most clearly in recent years when Arizona attempted to enforce the federal government’s own immigration laws but were severely chastised for their efforts.
Certain men in the federal government, along with their unseen handlers, know that once the illegal immigrants overwhelm the system, we will have no choice but to legalize them. This is intended to increase tax revenue and will also help support the bankrupt Social Security system. Yet at the same time it is an admission that America is underpopulated, and that this problem is caused mainly by abortions. Hence, the curse of the law is upon us, though few people realize it. We are left few in number—too few to support the Babylonian system—because we have not obeyed the laws of God.
Moses continues in Deuteronomy 28:63,
63 And it shall come about that as the Lord delighted over you to prosper you and multiply you, so the Lord will delight over you to make you perish and destroy you; and you shall be torn from the land where you are entering to possess it.
Once again, God takes the credit, not only for prospering the obedient nation, but also for destroying the disobedient nation. Unfortunately, many innocent individuals pay the price for the sin of the national government. Millions of innocent babies have been murdered through no fault of their own. Many good Christians are in ill health. The educational system has deceived innocent children into thinking that the ways of Babylon are good. Church leaders have taught the people that God’s laws are evil or irrelevant today.
This is why the problem of lawlessness must be changed on a national level. The laws of God must replace the laws of men, and government officials must be in agreement with God’s law and practice it in their personal lives. They must not take bribes to pervert justice, and they must interpret the law according to the mind of Christ, who gave the law to Moses. Jesus Christ is the Author of the God’s law.
The supporters and officials of the beast system today have worked very hard to eliminate Jesus Christ from public life. This has been a lengthy task, because our founders put Christ in virtually every part of government. Yet they have now almost reached their goal, and so now they are turning their attention to making true Christianity illegal. It is becoming illegal to talk about Christ in public or to speak of His laws. They are attempting to confine Christianity to one’s own home, or if a person leaves his home, he must be silent about his beliefs.
As we continue to slide into divine judgment, we should know that both the problem and the solution have always been the same from age to age. Israel claimed to have faith in God but refused to be obedient to His law, for they did not realize that the law was the expression of His character and His will. We have the same problem today, because even Christians are largely ignorant of the law and how it reveals the mind of Christ. And so the Babylonian oppression in America and the world continues to progress until the Holy Spirit is released to reveal the truth and set all men free.
