We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Learn MoreThe Pentecost conference in Charlotte, NC, advertised on the banner on the front page of our website, is scheduled for next week end, June 7-9.
Darla and I will be leaving on Monday, stopping along the way to visit friends and hold a few meetings. So we are leaving a few days early in order to get to the hotel Thursday evening.
This leaves us just a few days to finish up important work at the office.
This past week has been eventful and revelatory as well, and as a result, I will be out of town tomorrow for most of the day with our team. In addition to writing weblogs, trying to keep up with emails and prayer requests, and preparing for the upcoming conference, my days have been too full to try to edit books that are still in the works, such as our study in Jude and the study on The Judges.
Hopefully, I can find time for those projects in a couple of weeks.
I read most of my emails and pray for those requesting it, but I find it difficult to answer more than a fraction of them directly. Sometimes I have good intentions of answering, but interruptions, prayer-and-discernment sessions, spiritual warfare, and the continuous flow of new emails often sweep me downstream, and I am never able to get back to the older emails. I apologize for that, but that is the reality of the work load.
For a long time now, I have had to do nearly all of my research (and keeping up on world news) in the evenings at home, so my normal day does not end until well past 11 p.m.
When our heavenly Father interrupts my schedule, it becomes a top priority to me, and I have found that the work or revelation is well worth it. I largely gave up having the local ministry (i.e., public local meetings) about two years ago, although I still hope to re-start these in the future. As the ministry moves steadily toward an international focus, we have had to put more time into intercession and spiritual warfare to prepare the way, not only for the ministry itself but also for the coming outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I will be out of town tomorrow on a field trip and do not plan to write a weblog until the next day. We know enough to make this trip but do not know fully what God has in store for us. As always, we walk by faith and learn as we go. I don't even know how much I will be able to write in a public report. It seems that the nature of our prophetic work is requiring more and more secrecy. I stress over this, because I value transparency and, as a teacher, I am always anxious to share the things that God reveals. I learn new things every day but don't have the time to share more than a fraction of it.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
