On June 21, 2001, the day that God gave His Bride the great diamond ring in the solar eclipse, the planet Mars came closest to the earth since 1988.
Mars is a sign of war—in this case, spiritual warfare—though at the time we thought nothing of it. Yet the Great War was forming in the attempt to dislodge the true Bride and to reestablish the Great Harlot of Babylon (Revelation 17:1) as the Queen of Heaven.
The Great War began on July 2, a day that had figured prominently in the Net of Prayer for many decades. By the early revelation, “July is like September,” July 2 was “like” September 2 and was directly connected to another revelation from 1981, “September 2 America begins to die.”
For a long time I observed negative events occurring on that day, but by 2001 conditions had changed. The house of David had been fully established November 30, 2000, and the house of Joseph was rising as well. The betrothal had been successful on June 19, 2001, and it was sealed by the diamond ring on the same day that Mars flew close to the earth two days later.
For your information, the Romans originally established March as their first month, but they later moved it back to January. Some of their months were named in Latin according to their number. So originally, September was their 7th month, October was their 8th month, November was their 9th month, and December was their 10th month.
When the new year was moved back to January, long custom made it too difficult to change the names of these months to reflect their new numbering system. So although July became the new 7th month, they did not change the month of September, though it had become the 9th month.
So to this day, July is our 7th month, while September is the old 7th month. That is why “July is like September,” and is comparable in some ways to the Hebrew 7th month. By observation, we noticed that each year something occurs in July that is comparable to a second event in September on the same day of the month. Normally, there is at least one such noteworthy event.
In the year 2001, the most noteworthy events to be compared were July 11 and September 11, as we will see.
Spirit of Jester
The war began in a normal fashion with a few skirmishes on July 2 as we met together by a conference call. Unfortunately, there was no “zoom calls” at that time. Nonetheless, it worked. As we walked in the spirit, we came across a group of unclean spirits (280 in all), led by a spirit named Jester. All 280 spirits under him went by the same name, Jester.
In this context, Jester was a mocking spirit, having the same sinister intent as when Ishmael was found “mocking” Isaac (Genesis 21:9). Paul interprets this in Galatians 4:29 to mean “he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit.”
The army of Jester was coming against the Effective Apostleship that God was building. Its job was to empower false apostleship in the church to make a mockery of what God originally intended this position to be. It appears, too, that Jester and his band of unclean spirits were on a mission to persecute and even kill the child that was to be born of the free woman. We easily overthrew the band of Jesters.
The next evening, the same group gathered again on a conference call to figure out why we were coming under spiritual attack and to ask God what to do about it. We discovered that certain unknown church leaders had come against us by the power of the Imprecatory Spirit. An imprecatory prayer is a prayer to curse one’s enemies.
We were led to pray against this spirit with this simple prayer:
“In the name of Jesus we come against the unclean spirit of Imprecation that has caused certain church leaders to curse God and His people who teach the truth.”
There were some who had heard of spiritual warfare and who believed that this was how one should pray against God’s perceived enemies. Yet being carnally-minded, they do not realize that “though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh” (2 Corinthians 10:3). Further, “our struggle is not against flesh and blood” (Ephesians 6:12). Neither are we called to curse others (James 3:10). We fight against the evil spirits that have bound people and who use their captives to do harm.
Spirit of Balaam
In our next spiritual excursion, we encountered and bound a spirit named Balaam, who was the leader of 300 evil spirits. This was the spirit behind the prophet Balaam in Numbers 22-24. Though his prophecies were true and are included in Scripture, his nature was to use witchcraft to gain power to control people. That prophet was motivated by money (greed), which is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10).
There are some lessons that can be derived from the story of Balaam, which applied to the warfare on July 3, 2001 as well. There is a nearby Roman Catholic church (St. Marys on the north side of Minneapolis) which has many stained-glass windows of various “saints” including Saint Balaam. I am not sure how Balaam came to be a saint, unless they had sainted another man with the same name.
The point is that the spirit of Balaam still influences the church, and this is seen when the church uses fleshly tactics to gain money and power. The squadron of 300 evil spirits led by Balaam suggests a counterfeit of Gideon’s army (Judges 7:8).
Next we fought against a spirit calling himself Pharez (“breach, division”) and his 300 evil spirits who were attacking Michigan over some authority issue. Both Balaam and Pharez led 300 spirits, which suggests that Pharez was in support of Balaam and had similar motives and goals.
Spirits of Krypton
After binding Pharez, we fought against a spirit called Krypton, who was leading a group of 3,000 spirits. Krypton comes from the Greek word kryptos, “hidden, secret.” Krypton is the 36th element on the Periodic Table. Krypton was deadly to Superman in the comic books and to the overcomers as well. Biblically, 36 is the number of the adversary or enemy.
See The Biblical Meaning of Numbers from One to Forty.
When Achan sinned in the battle of Jericho, he hid some items under his tent (Joshua 7:21). This gave the spirit of Krypton legal cause against Israel. So in the next battle (against Ai), we read in Joshua 7:4, 5,
4 So about three thousand men from the people [Israelites] went up there, but they fled from the men of Ai. 5 The men of Ai struck down about thirty-six of their men…
Likewise, when Israel worshiped the golden calf in the days of Moses, 3,000 of the people were killed at the base of Mount Sinai. This judgment was reversed on the day of Pentecost, when 3,000 were saved (Acts 2:41). So in our own warfare, Krypton came with 3,000 evil spirits, being associated with the number 36, attempting to repeat the judgments in the stories of Israel. We defeated him, however, bringing mercy, grace, and salvation to the situation.
Spirit of Mammon
Finally, we fought against Mammon, who led 700 spirits. This spirit also supported Balaam insofar as influencing the fleshly financial practices of the church and the nation as a whole. The 700 spirits led by Mammon imitated the 700 men of Benjamin who could sling stones and not miss (Judges 20:16).
In the biblical story, those 700 men were called to defend the evildoers of Gibeah, which had sparked a civil war in Israel. This was the same motive in our own battle in 2001. The spirit of Mammon, motivated by greed, intended to support evildoers, which threatened civil war in America. It took years for this to surface in America, but we are now seeing that threat unfold.
There was one final battle that same evening (July 5), but because this requires a lengthy explanation, I will save it for the next weblog. As you can see, I am taking the time to explain past events so that you not only know what has happened but also that you will understand the event and learn the principles involved.
