On September 4, 2013 (Rosh Hoshana) we drove to the headwaters of the Blue Earth River, which is about an hour’s drive south of Mankato, to make some declarations in regard to the End the Famine prayer campaign. The Blue Earth River flows into the Minnesota River, which in turn flows into the Mississippi River.
We went to a pavilion in the park near the headwaters, where we met with others who were meeting to confess the sins of their fathers in unjustly hanging the 38 Dakotas in Mankato in 1862 after the so-called Sioux Uprising. We were led to pray Daniel’s prayer of repentance (Daniel 9:2-19) as well.
One of our friends, Loren Matzke, was the great-grandson of one of the soldiers who witnessed the hanging. He was part of the cavalry guarding the scene as the 38 Dakotas were led to the gallows. There were many angry white settlers who had come to see “justice” done, and the soldiers were there to keep them from rioting.
The Dakotas sang as they walked to the gallows, and most of the white people thought they were singing a death chant. However, those who were condemned were all Christians, and they were singing a Christian hymn that missionaries had taught them earlier. The Dakota leader paused to shake the hand of his executioner.
So in our gathering at the Blue Earth River, we sang songs and read the model prayer that I had written earlier for the prayer campaign. For a full report with pictures of the event, see here:

Yom Kippur Meeting: September 14, 2013
Our End the Famine campaign ended after 40 days on Yom Kippur, September 14, 2013. We were led to keep it as a Jubilee, rather than as a Day of Atonement—a day of rejoicing, instead of a day of mourning.
On this day we drove to Mankato and met with others at Reconciliation Park, where the names of the 38 Dakotas were written. A prayer was written on the back side of the plaque. Across the street from the park is the County Library, where they have a memorial statue and plaque telling a short history of the events of the Dakota War.
We met next to the large buffalo statue, sang a few songs, prayed, read Scripture, and decreed the Jubilee. We then met at Arby’s Restaurant, where we enjoyed some fellowship and ended the famine.
Finishing Deuteronomy
I had been writing a long series of weblogs on the book of Deuteronomy for more than a year, and this series concluded on September 13, 2013. On that day I read about the death of Moses in Deuteronomy 34:10,
10 Since that time no prophet has arisen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.
It occurred to me that this was part of an addendum that was written long after Moses had died. It was obviously not written by Moses himself, since he could hardly record his own death. The wording implies that a long time had passed; otherwise, it would make little sense to say, “Since that time no prophet has arisen in Israel like Moses.” My guess is that this was written by Ezra, who compiled the Old Testament canon after the Babylonian captivity many centuries later.
Ezra, it seems, was referring to God’s promise in Deuteronomy 18:15, 18, 19,
15 The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him… 18 I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 It shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him.
This, of course, was a messianic prophecy, as we see from Peter’s sermon in Acts 3:22, 23. He applies the prophecy to Jesus Christ. In other words, Christ had not yet come in the time of Ezra, so he wrote, “Since that time no prophet has arisen in Israel like Moses.” But Peter was able to tell us that this Prophet “like Moses” had finally arisen. Just as Moses had led Israel out of the house of bondage on the day of Passover, so also had Christ led us out of the house of bondage on the 1,480th Passover since the first one.
I then wondered if another 1,480-year cycle could be found that would lead to the time of the second coming of Christ—or perhaps to the end of the captivity to Mystery Babylon. A simple calculation showed that it was 1,480 years from the rise of the little horn (Daniel 7:8, 24, 25) until the time came for the saints to be given the dominion (534-2014 A.D.).
The numeric value of christos, “Christ,” is 1,480. In other words, from Moses to Christ, the people had to wait 1,480 years for the One like Moses to appear.
The Emperor Justinian had altered times and law (Daniel 7:25), first by changing the calendar in 526 and then by changing the laws of the Eastern Roman Empire from 529-534. These changes marked the rise of the little horn, and 2013 was the 1,480th year since the news of the Empire officially took effect in 534. The next year (2014) was 1,480 years from 534.
The change was from Roman law to Orthodox Christian law, which put the emperor himself in the position as the executor of Church law. When this was tested in 536 A.D., the emperor suddenly found himself under the authority of the Church and Agapetus, the bishop of Rome! This was the pope who established public education in Rome, because education had largely ceased when the western empire fell in 476.
Agapetus had a doctrinal dispute with Anthimus, the Patriarch of Constantinople, so Emperor Justinian summoned him to Constantinople and demanded that he recognize the Patriarch or face exile. Agapetus came, but he told the emperor,
“I hoped to find a Christian emperor, and I have met with a new Diocletian. Well! Let Diocletian learn that the bishop of Rome does not fear his threats and refuses to submit to his orders.” (Cormenin, History of the Popes, Vol. 1, p. 109)
The emperor backed down. Agapetus asked Justinian to call for Anthimus, so that he could question him in regard to the doctrine of the two natures of Christ.
“Anthimus replied to the arguments of the pontiff, and concluded by declaring that Jesus Christ did not possess two natures. Agapetus, in a fury, hurled anathemas against Anthimus, Severus, Peter of Apama, Zora, and several other prelates, whose names would have rested in oblivion but for the excommunication. Then he obtained from the monarch an order for the deposition of Anthimus, and consecrated the new patriarch of Constantinople.” (History of the Popes, p. 110)
In later power struggles between popes and monarchs, this event was cited as proof of the Church’s authority over monarchs. It set an important precedent and marked the legal transition of authority from emperors to Roman popes. This occurred in 536.
I took note that from 537-2017 was 1,480 years.
This was a major revelation of timing, which was revealed only upon the completion of my study in the book of Deuteronomy. From this, I received further revelation that refined my understanding of the “seven times” (2,520 years) that had been allotted to the beast nations, since Babylon first took Jerusalem in 604 B.C. The “seven times” cycle appeared to end in 1917, but because the Grecian Empire had been deprived of a century of authority over Jerusalem from 163-63 B.C., that century had to be added at the end. Hence, the authority of the beast systems would not end in 1917 but in 2017.
So finally, I knew when the transfer of authority would occur from the beast nations to the saints of the Most High. God had given me the answer just four years before “judgment was given to the saints of the Most High” (Daniel 7:22 KJV). The revelation coincided with the end of the study in Deuteronomy and the prayer campaign called End the Famine (of hearing the word). In other words, we were rewarded for the prayer campaign by receiving this major revelation.
So we knew that in 2017 the great Judge would rule in favor of the saints of the Most High. Of course, in 2013 we did not know what this would look like. It turned out to be a Divine Court ruling on the 8th day of Tabernacles, October 12, 2017. But that did not mean that the rulers of Mystery Babylon would comply with this ruling. In fact, God would harden their hearts, so that He would have lawful cause to strip them of their wealth, much as He did with Pharaoh in the days of Moses.
Meanwhile, however, God was training the saints of the Most High in the principles of His law, so that they would know His nature and understand His mind. He was equipping His saints to exercise authority properly, so that they would not abuse their authority as the Babylonian rulers had been doing for thousands of years.
