SAMARKAND, Uzbekistan, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday called on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to uphold the Shanghai Spirit, strengthen unity and cooperation, and promote the building of an even closer SCO community with a shared future…
At the meeting, several statements and documents were issued on protecting international food and energy security, tackling climate change, and keeping supply chains secure, stable and diversified; a memorandum of obligations on Iran's SCO membership was signed; the procedure for Belarus' accession was started; MOUs granting Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar the status of SCO dialogue partners were signed; agreement was reached on admitting Bahrain, the Maldives, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Myanmar as new dialogue partners; and a series of resolutions were adopted, including a Comprehensive Plan for the Implementation of the SCO Treaty on Long-Term Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation for 2023-2027. It was decided at the meeting that India will assume the SCO rotating presidency for 2022-2023.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a direct competitor to the European Union insofar as trade and economic cooperation are concerned. More and more nations are becoming members of the SCO, and even now more than half the world’s population is now included in it.
The US government has used the dollar as a weapon against many countries, making the rest of the nations wonder if they might be next. Economic sanctions have been used to establish the US as the “sole super-power” at the expense of other nations. The formation of the SCO was one of the consequences of US foreign policy, as it seeks to reduce the power of the US over other nations and to create a multi-polar world.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the SCO. There are now more nations in the SCO (or seeking membership) than in the EU.
World trade—especially in Asia—is increasingly being done in currencies other than the US dollar. It is only a matter of time before the US dollar loses most of its value. The key will be when the Saudis announce officially that they will accept other currencies in payment for oil. Recall that it was Saudi cooperation in 1973 that created the petro-dollar, wherein they agreed to accept only US dollars for oil.
This was the way they kept the dollar strong after going off the gold standard in 1971. But now the petro-dollar is being replaced by a new world currency that is based on Asian gold. We need to understand this and watch it carefully, because this will affect us all. Prophetically speaking, it will overthrow the secret government of Mystery Babylon.
