Babylon's slow collapse

The US government’s policy over the recent decades has been to isolate and condemn any country refusing to submit to US hegemony—especially if they represent any serious business competition. When those offending countries decided to abandon the US dollar in any way, they were simply attacked and destroyed in the name of saving democracy.

That tactic worked until recently. But the rise of “the kings from the east” (Revelation 16:12) changed all of this. Why? Because the US government is playing the role of Babylon, while Russia and China are the new eastern “kings.” These kings were raised up by the sixth angel in Revelation 16 to prepare for the fall of Babylon—which the 7^th angel brings about.

Much of the church is clueless, because it teaches that these kings from the east are the enemies of Israel. They think China is going to send 200 million troops across the dried-up River Euphrates to destroy Israel. The fact is that Russia and China are playing the modern role of Cyrus and Darius, who overthrew Babylon and set the captives free.

There is also a role that Iran is playing, because Iran is Persia. King Cyrus was a Persian king. So before the rise of China and Russia, my view was that Iran would take the lead in overthrowing Babylon. That may not be the case, but it seems certain that Iran is playing a role in the overthrow of Babylon.

Only Babylonians and their supporters have reason to fear these “kings.” The fact that so many Christians and politicians support the Babylonian side of this war reveals their heart.

The US government made a deal with China 50 years ago under President Nixon (and especially Henry Kissinger). In return for China opening up for business, they would allow China to dominate the 21^st century. China agreed, and soon many US companies were moving to China, believing that this was the future of business. America began to be de-industrialized.

But after the turn of the millennium, US policy changed. They no longer wanted to give up power to China. So the word went out that China was “our greatest enemy,” because they were seeking to replace the US dollar and overthrow US hegemony in the world.

Likewise, in the case of Russia, Bush 41’s New World Order decided to overthrow the Soviet Union after 70 years and to break it up into separate (and weaker) countries, so that the US government could more easily dominate it and steal its natural resources. Papers were drawn up to justify this policy. When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the Russians mistakenly thought they were going to be welcomed into the European and Western community of nations. They were wrong.

Putin tried very hard to have Russia join the European Union. He was rebuffed, and he soon figured out that he and other Russians had been deceived. The US government had already broken up the Soviet Union into various independent nations, but Russia itself was still too big and too rich in natural resources. The US wanted to break up Russia as well into five separate (weaker) countries so that the western oligarchs could sweep in and buy up natural resources for pennies on the dollar.

Putin then objected, and for this he was treated as if he wanted to become an emperor and to “restore the old Soviet Union.” Russia was then treated as “the enemy,” whereas they wanted to be our friend. That is where we stand today. It is the US government that is “Babylon” while the sixth angel has empowered Russia and China to overthrow Babylon and to set us free.

Modern Babylon, of course, overthrew America more than century ago with the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. Power shifted on a practical level in 1933 when Roosevelt put America into receivership (bankruptcy). We began to shift from a Christian Republic to a Secular Democracy, and the era of the American Empire replaced the British Empire.

In the 1980’s under Reagan, the various US departments of government were privatized in the name of downsizing the government. These departments were sold to various corporations, secretly giving us a Fascist form of government—a merger between government and corporations—in the name of democracy.

This is the nature of modern Mystery Babylon insofar as the main players are concerned. It is also important to know that the American people are captives in Babylon, much like the people of Judah in ancient times. America is not Babylon. The US government is Babylon. There is a difference.

Even so, Americans are following the same pattern that the Jews followed. When King Cyrus set the people free, only a remnant returned to the old land to rebuild. Most of them preferred to remain in Babylon, where they had established themselves as good Babylonians. The same is true today. Most Americans have been fully integrated into Babylon and its culture, and they have lost the vision to build the Kingdom.

I thank God that you are not among them. You are like the remnant that returned under Zerubbabel and Ezra. Life is more challenging and difficult with a Kingdom vision, but in the end it is more rewarding.

The Pariah State

The US government’s Department of Propaganda has tried to convince everyone that Russia is a pariah state, isolated in the world, shunned by world leaders. The precise opposite is true. The US/Western sanctions on Russia have only served to isolate the US from the rest of the world. Sanctions on Russian oil and gas have backfired. Europe’s cost of doing business has skyrocketed, and they are no longer competitive in world markets.

On the diplomatic front, Russian President Putin last week visited Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, who each gave him a hero’s welcome. You can see part of this in the first part of the following video:

The majority of nations love Putin and despise Biden. Yet they still fear the US military, and this is the main reason why most smaller nations try not to go against the US government directly. If it were not for the fear factor, most of them would gladly join the eastern coalition. We see this in the fact that so many countries are clamoring to join BRICS and to dump the US dollar in world trade.

Ukraine

Thirty years ago, when the Soviet Union broke apart, the US government agreed that NATO would not move one inch east. This was to satisfy Russian security concerns. The fact is, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO essentially lost its mandate and mission, because their great enemy had been defeated. The US became the “sole superpower.”

NATO should have been disbanded then. But the plan was to break up Russia itself, and they needed NATO to accomplish this. So NATO broke its word and continued to expand eastward. Finally, they went one step too far by announcing their intent to bring Ukraine into NATO. This meant that they wanted to put US missiles just a few hundred miles from Moscow itself. Putin drew the red line in the sand.

In 2014 the US State Department, led by Victoria Nuland, led the Maidan coup that overthrew the government of Ukraine and put it under the hegemony of the US government. Putin issued warning after warning, but to no avail. NATO raised up and trained a large Ukrainian army—Europe’s largest army—to enforce Ukraine’s entry into NATO.

Russia finally had no choice but to put a stop to this. The “Special Military Operation” was launched in February 2022. After a year and 10 months of conflict, Ukraine is on its last legs. Ukraine has replaced Israel as America’s greatest welfare state, but with the new war in Gaza, this may change again. Both countries are now competing for increasingly scarce US dollars, and Ukraine appears to be the loser.

The sixth angel has been drying up the River Euphrates, causing a liquidity shortage throughout the Babylonian banks in the world. Money rules, and when money dried up, power dissipates. As the US dollar loses its reserve status, the US government will find it increasingly difficult to fund its endless wars that maintain its hegemony. That is what we ought to watch in the months ahead. Follow the money.
