History is no longer taught adequately in schools, but to understand prophecy one must know history. History is simply fulfilled prophecy, except for a few remaining prophecies that are yet unfulfilled.
To understand what is going on today in the Zionist state, one must know how we got here in the last 150 years. The Gaza war did not begin on October 7, 2023. That is just when the latest outbreak hit the surface. A good place to start is World War 1 (1914-1917), as this also coincides with the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 which brought us into the final financial phase of Babylon’s “beast” systems.
While World War 1 was a war against Germany, the real prophetic significance of it was the end of the Ottoman Empire. The dissolution of the Ottoman Empire and its breakup into various Mideast nations paved the way for the Zionist state of Israel. Up to 1918, Palestine had been a province in the Ottoman Empire, but the British then took control of it and promptly made a mess of it. For a short 23-minute history of World War 1, watch this video:

To see how this is affecting us today with the Gaza war, listen to this 20-minute interview with Jeffrey Sachs, who explains the problem and offers a solution as he sees it:

Of course, he offers a political solution without understanding Scripture and prophecy. He knows nothing about the conflict between Jacob and Esau, nor would he think that story to be more than an irrelevant myth.
We ourselves come from a biblical view and take Scripture seriously. From this standpoint, we see how Esau’s descendants, the Edomites, were conquered and absorbed into Judah in 126 B.C., at which time the Edomites were forcibly converted to Judaism. This merger created fanatical Edomite Jews who were among the most prominent Jews fighting the Romans in 70 A.D. In fact, the final battle at Masada in 73 A.D. was where the Romans took the final Edomite (or Idumean) stronghold, Masada.
Since the merger, Jewry has two sets of prophecies to fulfill—Judah and Edom. Modern Zionism is the modern manifestation of Esau’s desire to inherit the land which he lost when Jacob stole the birthright from him in the book of Genesis. Not all Jews are Zionists, but Zionism itself is evidence of the spirit of Esau-Edom working within Jewry itself.
The details are explained in my book, The Struggle for the Birthright.
In my view, Jacob had to give back the birthright to Esau in 1948 so that Esau could have time to prove himself unworthy—so that God could strip him of the birthright in a lawful manner and give it to those whom God recognizes as Israelites. I am speaking of the overcomers who are given the name Israel as a testimony of God’s rule. The pattern was set with Jacob himself, who was not born an Israelite but became one after he became an overcomer.
The way I see it, God gave the Edomites (Zionists) 76 years in which to prove whether or not they were worthy of the name Israel. After 76 years, they have failed to prove they are worthy, and I believe that the outbreak of the Gaza war is the start of divine judgment upon the Zionist state itself.
Because the UN itself, representing the nations of the world, created the Israeli state in 1947, God has called the nations as a whole to judge the situation today. It is clear that world opinion is fast turning against the Zionist state. The initial Hamas attack would have created sympathy for the Zionists, but their desire for revenge, genocide, and ethnic cleansing of all Palestinians turned the nations against them almost immediately.
If the Zionists had been content with a 2-state solution that respected the right of Palestinians to exist and to have self-determination, the world would have supported them. That was, after all, part of the mandate of UN Resolution 181 in 1947. An independent Palestine has as much right to exist as an independent Zionist state. Yet the Israeli government sabotaged those efforts for 76 years and even killed one of its Prime Ministers (Rabin, in 1995) to prevent such a thing from happening.
So now we are coming to the climax of the age, in which God will determine who is called and who is not.
