World sympathy for the Zionist state may have reached its apex on October 7, 2023 with the attack by Hamas. However, the Zionist response with the mass murder of Palestinians quickly saw that support evaporate, and after an 8-month killing spree, support continues to wane.
Biden does not seem to like Netanyahu at all, but the deep state that actually runs America is owned by the Israel lobbies. Biden, as with other presidents, are only figureheads—the public face of those who really hold power behind the scenes. There are, of course, many dissenters, some of whom have resigned their positions in the administration.
But evangelical Christians provide the bulk of unconditional Israeli support, believing that supporting Israel is more important than America’s survival itself. Being ignorant of the difference between Israel and Judah, along with the history of Edom, evangelical Christians have ended up supporting their own captivity in the name of Christ.
The past few months have seen student protests over the indiscriminate murder of at least 40,000 Palestinians, including 20,000 children, plus women. Christian Zionist support for this mass murder makes them accomplices on some level that only God can determine. I pray that God does not judge the evangelical church on the basis of an eye for eye (equal justice). We can appeal for mercy on the grounds that God Himself blinded the prophets and seers in Isaiah 29:10,
10 For the Lord has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep. He has shut your eyes, the prophets, and He has covered your heads, the seers.
This is a direct reference to the revelation in the previous verses about the ultimate destruction of Jerusalem by what seems to be described as a nuclear event. See Isaiah 29:6. I believe that this prophecy is being fulfilled even now. Israeli Zionists seem equally unaware of what is coming. There have been huge protests in Israel by those who are alarmed at the situation, but their protests are too little, too late. The hardliners took control of the Israeli educational system some decades ago, and they have turned out a generation of radicals today.
The IDF is coming to the conclusion that they cannot defeat Hamas, not even by the mass killing of women and children. Hamas is an idea. Ideas cannot be defeated militarily.
And on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces' top spokesman seemed to lay bare the rift at the top of the country's leadership. The central stated goal of the war in Gaza — to destroy Hamas — was not possible, and to maintain it was meant "throwing sand in the eyes of the public," Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said.
“Hamas is an idea. Anyone who thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong," Hagari said in an interview with Israeli broadcaster Channel 13. "The political echelon needs to find an alternative — or it will remain," he said, referring to Hamas.
At the present time, the IDF is withdrawing from Gaza in order to pick a fight with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hezbollah is 100 times as powerful and well equipped as Hamas. The last time the two sides clashed, the Israelis were defeated and eventually had to withdraw. Today Hezbollah is far stronger, while the Israelis are far weaker.
They certainly must know this, but I suspect their purpose is to force the USA to save them. They have been trying for years to get us to bomb Iran. They have been claiming for more than 40 years that Iran is just a few months from getting a nuclear weapon.
Meanwhile, the student protest movement here in America is only getting stronger, due to the police crackdowns and the unlawful actions of university presidents. Here is a particularly insightful interview with Richard Wolff, an economics professor, who has been actively monitoring these protests and knows the history of protest movements from the past.
