The world on the brink

Russia’s hypersonic missile attack on Dnipro two days ago was originally reported to be from an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. It was, in fact, just an Intermediate Ballistic Missile. Even so, it was the first Ballistic Missile ever used in warfare. The only difference between the two is the range. What Russia used did not have to go to another continent but only to neighboring Ukraine.

The general public does not yet understand how the world changed on November 21, 2024. Top military leaders do. The missile traveled at about mach 11 (11 times the speed of sound). Such hypersonic technology takes a long time to develop and to perfect. The West has no such technology, and even if it had it, it would take years to develop.

So the start of the new Prophetic Year on November 21, 2024 exposed the weakness of Western militaries in any war against Russia. Russia’s hypersonic missiles cannot be shot down. It also means that Russia has now replaced the USA as the sole superpower in the world. The West had better hope and pray that Russia does not treat the West like the West has been treating Russia since 1991.

President Putin takes Western threats and bluster far more seriously than the West itself does. Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles into Russia on November 20 crossed Russia’s long-standing red line, but the neocons who run the US government thought he was bluffing. They now know that he was NOT bluffing.

It is not likely that the US government and/or military will admit its error, but eventually, this will become apparent to all.

The situation has not taken God by surprise. In fact, it is built into the divine plan, as evidenced by the fact that it marked the start of the new Prophetic Year. Bad news to the rulers of Mystery Babylon is actually good news to the rulers of the Kingdom of God—first, because we know God is in control, and second, because Revelation 16-19 speaks of the downfall of Mystery Babylon.

We have arrived at a major turning point in prophetic history. No nation, not the USA and not even Russia, has ultimate control of world events. What God has prophesied will come to pass, even if it looks as though all is lost and we are all doomed. Remember how the Israelites thought all was lost when they were trapped at the shores of the Red Sea. Our faith is not in how strong and powerful any nation’s weapons may be; our faith is in the power of God to ensure that the purpose of creation is fulfilled.

These crises are designed to separate those who have faith and those who do not. Unbelievers cannot help but be frightened. The church, which has little understanding of the prophetic feast days, awaits the rapture. The overcomers are moved by the Holy Spirit to change the world through the Sword of the Spirit in spiritual warfare.

We have chosen the route of the overcomers. Our warfare goes back decades. Overcomers from long ago fought side by side with us, because time is not a factor in the heavens. We all fight in the same battle that Daniel fought in Daniel 10. Yet because we are the final generation of prayer warriors that are preparing the way for Christ’s Kingdom, we are unique in that we can see a lot more than they did in past generations.

Years of spiritual warfare, especially from 1993-2006, brought one victory after another. Each victory was a battle in a larger war. God cut the war into pieces so that we would not have to fight the whole thing all at once. The timing of each battle also established the timing of world events. The present crisis is a direct manifestation of the Jubilee Prayer Campaign which began on November 21, 1993. I suspect that we will see a secondary event on November 29.

Most people are unaware of what has been accomplished in spiritual warfare in past years. So when the world comes into a crisis point, they are filled with fear—fear of the unknown. This is why it is important to know the history of spiritual warfare in our time. The more we know, the easier it is to predict the outcome of current events. I have a longer series that is not yet in print called My Journey. It gives a history of spiritual warfare from 1981 to 2017. I first wrote this in a series of weblogs beginning March 6, 2021. You can find that series posted in the archives. I waited to put this series into print, because I wanted to wait until the end of 2024 to complete the series. Now that we have come to November 21, 2024, that book is finally taking shape, and I hope to finish it in 2025.

On November 20, I started writing the December FFI. It is Part 1 of a series on the book of Joel, the Prophet of the Day of the Lord. I started writing this just before the current crisis of war, which suggests that the Prophetic Year ahead has to do with the Day of the Lord. As I said, that is both bad news and good news, depending on whose side you support. I trust that our readers have sufficient faith in the promises of God so that you can live without fear.
