A gas pipeline contract that Russia signed with Europe 50 years ago expired on January 1, 2025. The pipeline had transited natural gas through Ukraine, and this remained uninterrupted in spite of the war. But Ukraine, reflecting US decisions, refused to renew the contract during a cold winter, plunging Europe into a panic.
"We stopped the transit of Russian gas, this is a historic event," Herman Galushchenko, Ukraine's energy minister, said in a statement. "Russia is losing markets, it will suffer financial losses."
Supposedly, the idea is to deprive Russia of a market for its gas sales. But the real reason is to destroy the German economy as part of the US policy of getting rid of competition. The US wants Europe to buy US liquid natural gas (LNG), which costs four times as much as the Russian pipeline gas. This high price makes industry as a whole—but especially in Germany—much less competitive, and this is why many companies are moving out of Germany to China and to the US itself.
There are always ulterior motives to foreign policies. The excuses given for public consumption are almost never the real reasons. The real reasons have to be hidden from the public, because if they found out, they would be outraged.
So also we have seen the policy described by General Wesley Clark 20 years ago, where he was shown a Pentagon plan to overthrow 7 countries in 5 years. Syria was originally supposed to be the second country to be overthrown (immediately after Iraq), but this took far longer than intended. The final country is Iran, which has prophetic implications, since Iran (Persia) is the country that God raised up to overthrow Babylon in the days of Cyrus.
Of course, the US State Department sold these wars to the American public as a way to get rid of dictators and to establish democracies. The real reason was to make the world safe for Zionists and to establish the Israeli state as the regional hegemon of the Mideast.
Who gave the US government the right to overthrow other governments? The right was assumed after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. As the “sole superpower,” Dick Cheney famously said that power was there to be used and that we ought to take advantage of it. That sounds more like bully politics than anything benevolent.
So the US continues to interfere in foreign elections while pretending to be indignant if any other country interferes in our own elections. God does not like double standards. Matthew 7:2 says,
2 For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
This is not a mere suggestion or possibility; it is a law based on the law of equal weights and measures in Leviticus 19:36. To those of us who believe in God, His law, and His justice, this puts the US under divine judgment. Jesus said, “you will be judged.” Hence, judgment is inevitable at some point unless we repent and confess our sin to the world. Yet even with repentance, the killing fields have already happened. Millions of people have been displaced. The victims are the only ones with the authority to forgive. I do not think they will be in any mood to forgive the US government for its sin.
When Russian president Gorbachev agreed to dismantle the Soviet Union (1991), he was given assurances by the US government that NATO would not move one inch east. Presidents Clinton and Bush 42 broke this promise and expanded NATO toward the Russian border. Then in 2004 the US began sending Aegis missile systems to those bordering nations. This put the world in grave danger, because it meant that any missile launches would give Russia just a few minutes’ warning. Russia would have to decide very quickly if this was a real nuclear attack or a mistake.
In 2008 they set their sights on Ukraine as a NATO member, intending to place nuclear missiles within a few hundred miles from Moscow itself. At this point, Russia set this as a red line and made it clear that they considered this to be an existential threat. In other words, this was a non-negotiable issue, and Russia would engage in war if necessary to prevent this from happening.
Finally, in 2022 the situation came to a head, and Russia launched its Special Military Operation, demanding that Ukraine stop trying to enter NATO. Russia was also concerned about Ukraine’s undemocratic persecution of its Russian citizens, as well as Ukraine’s openly Nazi government and military. But the US fully supported the Nazis, because it found them useful in the war against Russia. The long-term plan was to divide Russia into 5 smaller countries so that prices would collapse and US corporations could come in and buy up the assets.
Russia has the largest land mass in the world and is rich in natural resources. The US government covets Russian resources and thinks that Russia does not deserve to have such a large share of the earth’s resources. This is the real motive behind the Russia-Ukraine war. Ukraine is just a US mercenary force to weaken Russia. The tragedy is that Ukrainians voted for Zelensky as president because he ran his campaign on a platform of making peace with Russia. What they got was the polar opposite. The Ukrainian people themselves now pay the price for believing politicians.
Babylon was overthrown in 537 B.C. by a coalition of kings from the east, namely, Cyrus the Persian and Darius the Mede. Cyrus diverted the river Euphrates that flowed through Babylon, and this allowed his troops to march into the city on relatively dry ground. This established a repeating pattern of prophecy that was to be fulfilled in our time in the overthrow of Mystery Babylon. So we read in Revelation 16:12,
12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east.
The prophecy itself tells us that there was to be a repeating pattern in our time.
The question is this: What is Mystery Babylon? Who are the kings from the east today? It is plain that Mystery Babylon is a world-wide economic-political system of world government that is centered in the West. More recent developments make it clear (to me) that Russia and China are the modern kings from the east. This tells me also that the West will lose this battle, and we already see how the West is declining, notwithstanding the propaganda.
Along with this, we see Iran/Persia aligned with Russia and China. This makes it clear that God will also use Iran to overthrow a portion of Mystery Babylon known as the state of Israel. Israel, of course, is not the Israel of Scripture. Biblical Israel (as a nation) is the 10 “lost” tribes of Israel, while the Jews are the remnant of Judah. The Israelites were exiled to Assyria, but Judah spent 70 years in Babylon and then returned so that Jesus could be born in Bethlehem.
If you study biblical history, you will discover that the Zionists are fulfilling the prophecies about Esau-Edom. Edom was conquered and absorbed into Judah in 126 B.C. Judah, then, is the only nation that could fulfill the end-time prophecies of Edom. It really goes back to the conflict between Jacob and Esau. Jacob stole Esau’s identity and took advantage of his father’s blindness in order to obtain the blessing. By the law of equal weights and measures, God has reversed the situation, allowing Esau-Edom to steal Jacob-Israel’s identity in 1948.
Edom’s time to hold the birthright has now ended, and God has induced the Zionists to overstep their authority and ability. They think that the US military will back their expansionist ideas. But the US itself is a declining power. It has bankrupted itself and has sent much of its military capability to Ukraine, where the Russian army has destroyed it. The Israelis have hitched their cart to a falling star.
The purposes of God will be fulfilled, dating back to the book of Genesis and also Daniel. But to understand how prophecy is being fulfilled, we must reject CIA propaganda in the mainstream media. My purpose in sharing world events is to assist you in this way, so that you understand Bible prophecy. History is prophecy fulfilled. So even if history and current events are not strictly from a biblical account, it is nonetheless important to know.
