We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Our co-worker in Nepal, Sanjeev, whom we support monthly, has completed a recent mission trip to teach the Gospel of the Kingdom in Bangladesh. Recall that some months ago he made a similar trip to Sri Lanka, where some of our tracts were translated into the local language. This is his report with some pictures:
Dear Respected Sir and Support Team of GKM, Warm Christian greetings from Nepal Brethren. I hope this email finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to share the Mission Trip Report of Bangladesh with you. Please find the attached file for your kind review. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and ASIA Thank You.
Purpose of Visit: To explore opportunities for ministry, share the Gospel, and strengthen fellowship with the indigenous communities and Church congregations in Bangladesh.
Acknowledgements: We extend our deepest gratitude to God for making this journey possible and blessing us with this opportunity. Special thanks to Mom Linley for her steadfast support and encouragement, as well as Pastor Ruata and his family for their warm hospitality and tireless dedication to God’s Kingdom Ministry.
Overview of the Trip: The visit to Bangladesh during the Christmas season was a profound blessing. This journey introduced us to the rich cultural and spiritual diversity of the country, leaving us with cherished memories and a renewed passion for ministry.
Key Activities and Experiences
Arrival and Christmas Celebrations in Chittagong: On the 25th of December, we were graciously welcomed by Pastor Ruata into his home, where he provided a comfortable space for us to rest after our long journey. Later that day, we had the privilege of joining the Church congregation for a fellowship meal followed by an evening service. Pastor Ruata introduced us to the congregation, and we were greeted with an outpouring of warmth and genuine hospitality.
It was truly inspiring to witness the unity, generosity, and deep faith of the Bawm indigenous people as they came together to honor the birth of Christ. During the gathering, we were blessed with the opportunity to share about God’s Kingdom Ministry, encouraging the congregation in their faith and collective mission to spread the Gospel. This joyful occasion left a profound impact on our hearts, reminding us of the beauty of fellowship in Christ’s name.
Fellowship Meeting on 27th December: A significant highlight of the trip was the fellowship meeting held at Pastor Ruata’s home. During this gathering, we had the opportunity to share the mission and vision of God’s Kingdom Ministry (GKM), emphasizing the restoration of all things through Christ. The pastors in attendance were deeply engaged, and Pastor Ruata distributed GKM tracts to further support the message.
The turnout exceeded our expectations, revealing a profound spiritual hunger within the community. We are especially grateful to Kiran and Debi Bawm for their invaluable contributions. Their dedication in preparing meals and ensuring the event’s success truly reflected the love and service of Christ.
In addition to the meeting, we had the privilege of connecting with several families, sharing the true teachings of GKM and the message of Christ’s return. This gathering was a powerful reminder of the importance of fellowship and the impact of spreading God’s Word.
Ministry Discussions and Future Plans: Pastor Ruata and I had meaningful discussions about the vast ministry opportunities in Bangladesh. We identified several indigenous and tribal groups, including the Mro people, who are yet to hear the Gospel. Pastor Ruata’s tireless efforts to disciple and minister to these unreached communities are truly inspiring and reflect his deep commitment to God’s work.
Together, we prayed fervently for his vision and mission, seeking God’s wisdom, guidance, and blessings to lead countless lost souls into His light. May the Lord continue to strengthen and equip Pastor Ruata to fulfill this noble calling, bringing hope and salvation to those who have yet to experience the transformative power of the Gospel.
Reflections and Observations:
Cultural Richness: Bangladesh’s vibrant cultural diversity is complemented by the warm and welcoming nature of its people, especially the Bawm community.
Spiritual Openness: The enthusiastic participation in the fellowship meeting reveals a deep spiritual hunger and receptiveness to the Gospel.
Dedication to Ministry: The tireless efforts of Pastor Ruata and his family exemplify Christ’s love and serve as a beacon for advancing God’s Kingdom.
Prayer Requests:
For Pastor Ruata and His Ministry: That God may empower him to fulfill his vision and mission, bringing thousands of lost souls into the light of Christ.
For the Indigenous Communities: That the Gospel may reach every tribe and group, transforming lives and fostering unity in Christ.
For Resources and Support: That adequate resources and partnerships may be available to sustain and expand the ministry efforts in Bangladesh.
Conclusion:
Our visit to Bangladesh was a remarkable and transformative experience. It reinforced our commitment to God’s work and highlighted the immense opportunities for ministry in this beautiful nation. We are encouraged by the ministry efforts of Pastor Ruata and his family and remain committed to supporting their mission through prayer and partnership. May God continue to guide and bless His servants in this mission field and may His Kingdom flourish in Bangladesh and beyond.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
