We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Learn MoreThe Jubilee conference for 2025 is now behind us. As always, it was good to meet with many old friends and to meet some new ones as well.
This conference provided a personal test of faith—more than in other years. Without the Weaver family to do the technical work of recording and livestreaming, it provided a significant challenge. Until the start of the conference, I wondered how much we would be able to do. The help that we had was untested, having never used our equipment. A local friend named Scott was able to help us set up everything last Thursday, but he had to fly to Japan the next day and was unable to help during the actual conference.
But my niece (Rachel) was coming to the conference, and I discovered that she was quite good at electronics and livestreaming. Our pianist (Zuri) came up from Texas, and I discovered that he too had skills in electronic equipment. Essentially, both Rachel and Zuri volunteered to work tirelessly full time to make the conference a success. Between the two of them, they were able to overcome every challenge.
This was totally unexpected. What would we have done without them? God is good.
Our youngest daughter (Audra) also flew in from Texas and agreed to MC the meetings. So I had very little to do, other than to be one of the speakers.
Mark Eaton had been one of our scheduled speakers, but he had to have an operation on his leg last Tuesday and had to cancel last week. We all missed him, of course, because he always brings a lot of good teaching to the table. However, my friend John (from South Africa) agreed to take his slots virtually, appearing on screen through zoom. This was the first time we had done that.
Paul and Hilary Kyle flew back from Belfast (N. Ireland) to bless us with music on Saturday evening, along with their son, Ben. They cut short their visit in order to be here for us. They had been scheduled to return on October 9.
So it seems that James Bruggeman, Rob and Deena Corry, and I were the only “regulars” from past conferences. That is why this conference was so different from past years. It seemed that God simply set me and my plans aside and took over the conference. I must confess that God did a better job of organizing this conference than I could have done. In fact, I was redundant most of the time, and this gave me more time to fellowship with the saints.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
