View Full Tract ListCensorship in Israel is tight, making it virtually illegal to report the deaths of Israeli soldiers in their war against Iran and Lebanon—unless the news reports only the official numbers. So I find the following report to be somewhat ironic, because they report over 9,100 “injured,” and yet the videos are taken at a cemetery. (I have noticed the same "injury" reports in many news articles, and they never tell us how many were actually killed, unless the government releases its own (low) figure.)

It is more difficult to hide the number of injured soldiers, because the doctors and nurses in the hospitals keep records of those that they have to treat. The number of soldiers killed is easier to hide.
Official government statistics admit only 43 Israelis killed (27 civilians and 16 military personnel). Normally, casualties run about 6:1, or 6 injured for every 1 killed. So if 9,100 were injured, it is more reasonable to say that more than 1,500 Israeli soldiers have been killed—not including civilians.
