Hilo, Hawaii is on the Big Island of Hawaii. Hilo has an airport, but you may have to fly in through Oahu. Check with your travel agent.
Conference will be held at TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. The main meetings on Sept. 25 and 26 will be held at the Hotel in the Moku’ola II Room, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending about 9:00 p.m. both nights, with breaks in between sessions.
On Monday evening, 6:00 p.m., we will be meeting at the Prayer and Healing Room about 5 miles away, and will probably do the same again at 9:00 a.m. of Thursday, Sept. 27 to finish out the conference. The address is 180 Kinoole St. #301 in Hilo. You can find it through MapQuest..
SPEAKERS: Are being contacted, but I plan on having those that I normally invite for the Tabernacles conferences.
ACCOMMODATIONS: As you may know, the cost of living in Hawaii is very high. But the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel has given us a very good rate. Whereas normally the rates per night are $175/night for a standard room, and $225/night for an ocean view, we have been given a block of rooms for just $89.13 and $105.85 (tax included). This is less than hotels that we have booked in previous years here on the mainland.
If you want to stay at the hotel before the Conference dates or afterward, they have agreed to give you the same good rates.
The standard rooms accommodate up to 4 people and include 1 King size bed or 2 double beds. The deluxe ocean view rooms accommodate up to 4 people and include 1 King size bed or 2 Queen size beds.
REGISTRATION: Everyone should call, fax, or mail their registration directly to the hotel. If you email me at [email protected], and request a registration form, I can send one to you quickly. Or Call the hotel at 808-935-9361. The fax number is: 808-969-6472. The deadline for registration to get these room rates is Sept. 7, 2007.
MEETING ROOM and BREAKFAST BUFFET: The cost is normally $525/day, plus tax, but if 30 of you will eat at their Breakfast Buffet each day, they will not charge us anything at all. If 20 people eat breakfast there, the charge will be $100/day. The Breakfast Buffet is $14.16/adult, including tax and tip. (Children 7-11 cost $9.02 each. Under 6 years old is free with parents.)
This is not a bad price for Hawaii. You might consider eating breakfast there as a donation to us. If 30 people pay $14 each for breakfast, the total cost is only about $420/day for 2 days (25th and 26th), but this would save us $1575 in meeting room costs.
To sign up for the Breakfast Buffet, please contact us (not the hotel) at 763-502-0507. Or email us at: [email protected] and we will email you the Breakfast Form to return to us. This will have to paid for ahead of time, and the Hotel will give you the Breakfast coupons when you arrive there.
Keep watching for updates and corrections. I think I have all the details correct, but if not, I will keep you posted of any changes or corrections.
