The stock market crash in the year 1929 marked the 2,520th anniversary of the beginning of the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel is dated in verses 1 and 2: "the thirtieth year . . . in the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity." This was the 30th year of their 17th Jubilee cycle--the year 592 B.C.--and it was the beginning of Ezekiel's prophetic ministry to the house of Israel.
The Babylonians laid siege to Jerusalem in 588 and destroyed the city and temple in the third year--586 B.C. In our own history, 2,520 years later, we see the events of 1933-1935. In 1933 President Roosevelt was elected to office, and almost immediately, Congress passed a bill giving the President "emergency powers." This suspended the Constitution (1933) until such time as the President would rescind this emergency measure. Of course, he never did, nor did any of his successors. That was technically the death of the Republic and the birth of American secular democracy which, in my view, is political Babylon. (Economic Babylon was instituted in 1914.)
In 1973, after 40 years, Congressman Ron Paul introduced a bill asking the President to re-instate the Constitution, but it did not pass. Our captivity was to be longer than a mere 40 years. So we continue to function legally and politically without a Constitution, and all so-called "constitutional rights" are actually only privileges that the Babylonian government grants when it chooses.
We figured that we would see some sign of the fall of Babylon in 2003 after 70 years of this. What actually happened was that the old territory of Babylon, now called Iraq, was overthrown in April of 2003. Saddam Hussein, who considered himself to be the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar, was overthrown, and his statue toppled. I believe that this event established the prophetic pattern for the overthrow of Mystery Babylon that rules not only America but most of the world as well.
I have never been a supporter of the war in Iraq from a moral standpoint. In my view, the war violated the will of God (that is, the thelema of God). But the war has always been part of the divine plan (boulema). For the distinction between those terms, see The Problem of Evil, chapter 4, posted online.
It is important to understand current events today, because the media is reporting on the progression of the downfall of Mystery Babylon at the end of this age. Iraq itself is old Babylon, but it is not the Mystery (secret) Babylon of today. Mystery Babylon is a world empire today that is political, legal, economic, and religious in nature.
The first major event in the establishment of economic Babylon was in 1914 through the Federal Reserve Act. It was passed on Dec. 23, 1913 with just five senators present, since the others were home for Christmas. President Wilson signed it in February 1914 without reading it, because he was told it was just a routine banking bill.
Seventy years later, in 1983-1984 the Lord had raised up the Net of Prayer to call the Church to prayer and intercession. If they had responded, the Lord would have given instructions on what to do to overthrow Babylon by spiritual warfare. But the Church as a whole knew little or nothing about spiritual warfare, and in any event, they were too caught up in the Prosperity of the Babylonian system to want to overthrow it.
So God raised up a new work ten years later in late 1993 and early 1994, which we called the New Net of Prayer. This was the beginning of a new time of spiritual warfare called The Jubilee Prayer Campaign (Nov. 21-29, 1993 and Jan. 27-30, 1994).
We understood at the time that this would actually be a seven-year warfare ending Nov. 30, 2000. The pattern given to us was that of the battle of Jericho. Even as Israel marched around the city for seven days in silence, so also would this be a warfare that no one would hear of, except those involved in it. We did not know in the beginning how the seventh day (year) would be fulfilled. Israel marched around Jericho seven times on that seventh day, a total of 13 times around the city. As it turned out, the Jubilee Prayer Campaign lasted for 13 years to October 7, 2006. Only then was it proclaimed, "It is done" (Rev. 16:17).
The first seven years of the Jubilee Prayer Campaign (1993-2000) were patterned after the Seven Trumpets of Revelation 8:6. The seven bowls of wine poured out (2000-2006) were patterned after the Seven Vials (bowls) of Revelation 16. These bowls were poured out in various parts of the country during the Feast of Tabernacles each year in the presence of witnesses who attended the conferences. Each Tabernacles conference was held in the location that the Lord Himself chose for us. In each year we saw the "signs following," which confirmed each word that was spoken.
The final vial was poured out in Babylon, New York on Oct. 7, 2006. It was the first day of Tabernacles that year. Babylon, NY was an appropriate place to pour out the final vial to signal the overthrow of Mystery Babylon. The day before we did this, the movie Babel opened in theaters, starring Brad Pitt. Nice touch, Father.
Of course, everything we have done has been on a spiritual level. We remain "harmless as doves" insofar as carnal warfare is concerned. And since our secular government does not recognize God or the effectiveness of spiritual warfare, it has not bothered us any more than we bother it. But we did understand that we would begin to see the effect of our work begin to manifest in the year after the final bowl of wine was poured out--that is, Oct. 7, 2006 to the Feast of Tabernacles in late September 2007.
In July and August of 2007 the subprime mortgage crisis began, and this has caused a chain reaction in the economic world, first into the housing market, then the commercial building market, and then to other more obscure problems like municipal bonds, whose interest rates suddenly soared from 4% to 15-25% almost overnight.
The walls of Jericho continue to tumble, as the Federal Reserve watches helplessly. Back in 1929 when Wall Street crashed, someone prophesied: "Humpty Dumpty sat on a Wall; Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again."
The real economic problem cannot be solved by the Federal Reserve System, since that system itself is the underlying problem. Theoretically, the only way to resolve the problem would be for the government to take over the Fed and issue real debt-free money, instead of borrowing it at interest from the private owners of the Fed, who create money out of nothing and loan it out at interest.
Secondly, in theory we would have to reinstate the Constitution and rescind the economic emergency bill from 1933.
Will we do these things? I seriously doubt it. If we look at it from God's perspective, I do not think God intends to re-establish the former American form of government. In my view, He intends to establish the Kingdom of God. The Republic that was formed two centuries ago was based largely on biblical principles and biblical law, but it had some fatal flaws. In particular, it created a legislature that was not limited to interpreting the law of God, but gave it the power to create traditions of men (man's laws).
Even a perfect law given by God is not enough. Israel had a perfect law, but failed. A nation needs perfect administrators to keep it from being corrupted. Men can establish Christian nations, but the Kingdom of God can only be established when the overcomers are raised in the first resurrection to reign with Christ on the earth (Rev. 5:10; 20:4-6).
