Ron is our "state watcher." He sees prophetic timing with the dates that each colony or territory has become a state.
It was 50 years ago today that Hawaii became a state. Ron has felt that this would be a very important time for a Jubilee, once all 50 states had passed their Jubilees.
I'm finding it more than coincidental that we are now getting revelation in regard to declaring a Jubilee on Sept. 28.
If any of you have studied how Hawaii was unlawfully usurped and annexed a century ago for the sake of the sugar industry, you will be as thoroughly embarrassed as President, Grover Cleveland was at that time. On this 50th anniversary, I think it would be the "Christian" thing to learn a little about this sordid history and to begin pondering how the overcomers might judge their case in the age to come. Here is a short quotation from the history at the following web site:
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/HAWAII/hawaii.html
On Jan. 17, 1893, at dusk, Queen Lili`uokalani yielded her throne under protest, with these words:
"I, Lili`uokalani, by the grace of God and under the constitution of the Hawaiian Kingdom, Queen, do hereby solemnly protest against any and all acts done against myself and the constitutional government of the Hawaiian Kingdom by certain persons claiming to have established a Provisional Government of and for this Kingdom.
"That I yield to the superior force of the United States of America, whose Minister Plenipotentiary, His Excellency John L. Stevens, has caused United States troops to be landed at Honolulu and declared that he would support the said Provisional Government.
"Now, to avoid any collision of armed forces and perhaps loss of life, I do, under this protest, and impelled by said forces, yield my authority until such time as the Government of the United States shall, upon the facts being presented to it, undo the action of its representative and reinstate me in the authority which I claim as the constitutional sovereign of the Hawaiian Islands."
Note that the queen surrendered Hawaii's sovereignty not to the revolutionaries but to the "superior force of the United States of America". This firmly put the United States in the legal position of having invaded and overthrown the government of a foreign nation without provocation.
On November 23, 1993, President Clinton signed United States Public Law 103-150, which not only acknowledged the illegal actions committed by the United States in the overthrow of the legitimate government of Hawaii, but also that the Hawaiian people never surrendered their sovereignty. The latter is the most important part of United States Public Law 103-150 for it makes it quite clear that the Hawaiian people never legally ceased to be a sovereign separate independent nation. There is no argument that can change that fact.
United States Public Law 103-150, despite its polite language, is an official admission that the government of the United States illegally occupies the territory of the Hawaiian people.
The Hawaiian people are obviously very peace loving and have suffered great injustice with a lot of grace. It is doubtful if the white Americans would have submitted under similar conditions imposed upon them by foreigners. My message to them is that there is a great Restoration and Reconciliation coming. Much injustice has been done since Adam, but the day is coming when all things will be judged in the Divine Court, and everyone will receive his due. At the same time, because "every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord," there will be an outpouring of love, forgiveness, and grace at the same time.
On July 15, 2003 the heirs of the original government of Hawaii filed a Declaration of Independence. It is reproduced at the end of the website listed above.
Happy Anniversary, Hawaii. May there be liberty and justice for all.
