Yesterday I seemed to be getting new revelation as I was writing, but needed an evening to pray about these things and see if the Father would confirm all or any part of it.
We now know that September 28 is indeed an important date, not for something that the world will do, but for what we are led to do. I see now why I was led on August 14 to write about separating wheat from barley, as this explains the background for the day of prayer ahead.
In Daniel's day, the prophet was led to pray at the appropriate time for Judah. Daniel 9 begins:
1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of Median descent, who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans-- 2 in the first year of his reign [537-536 B.C.] I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of years which was revealed as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years. 3 So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.
Jeremiah had prophesied that Judah would remain under the iron yoke of captivity for 70 years (Jer. 25:11). The first year of Darius was 537-536 B.C. It was his army, acting under orders from Cyrus the Persian, that had conquered Babylon in 537. He ruled for three years as Cyrus' deputy before Cyrus took over to rule directly (534). Cyrus then issued his decree allowing the foreign captives to return to their native lands. This is when Jerusalem's captivity officially ended.
Daniel understood that Babylon had fallen after surviving 70 years (607-537 B.C.). It was now time for Judah to be released after 70 years (604-534 B.C.). So Daniel prayed a prayer of repentance on behalf of Judah, recorded in Daniel 9:4-19. "We have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly, and rebelled," Daniel confessed (vs. 5). "Indeed, all Israel has transgressed Thy law and turned aside, not obeying Thy voice; so the curse has been poured out on us, along with the oath which is written in the law of Moses," he continued (vs. 11).
Daniel understood Lev. 26 and Deut. 28, which record the curses of the law that would come upon them if they rebelled against God and violated His law. He also knew that God would remember His covenant when the people acknowledged their sin and confessed their hostility to God, as Lev. 26:40-42 said.
Daniel could do nothing about this until the time of their sentence was nearing its completion. No amount of prayer could avail once the sentence had been pronounced (Ez. 14:14). But Daniel lived to see the end of the captivity and is a type of overcomer living in captivity.
We today are nearing the end of our captivity to Babylon as well. It is therefore time to follow Daniel's example. Notice in Daniel 9 that it did not require the entire nation to repent and/or repeat the prayer of Daniel. It only required a representative to do this. It required a representative who had spiritual authority over the nation to make the petition in the Divine Court.
In 1986 the Church (wheat company) had that authority, but they failed to fulfill their responsibility. They were too busy with other things and refused to heed the call to prayer from 1981-1986. So God separated the barley company from the field of wheat, legally creating a new category of believer that was separate, so that the wrong decision of the wheat company would not apply to the barley overcomers.
God then began to do a new thing in the earth, training the overcomers to do what the rest of the Church would not do. It took seven years for the overcomers (as a group) to be given enough authority to begin the work. A new call to prayer was issued, and the Jubilee Prayer Campaign was begun (1993). The Jubilee was declared on the Day of Atonement in 1996. It was done ten years late, according to the Hezekiah Factor, where Isaiah declared the Jubilee ten years late as well, after God manipulated time by turning back the clock "ten degrees."
Three years later, on the night of Sept. 11, 1999, we held a birthday celebration for Jesus. It was His 2000th birthday from the Feast of Trumpets in 2 B.C. (He was born on Sept. 29, 2 B.C. See my book, When REALLY Was Jesus Born?) That was the occasion when the final round of fireworks formed a picture of a Lamb in the night sky--totally unexpectedly and obviously unplanned (by us).
Interestingly enough, we have seen a double Hezekiah Factor come into play. First, the Jubilee declaration of 1996 spoke of the end of the Jubilee Prayer Campaign in 2006. Secondly, Jesus' 2000th birthday in 1999 was now nearly ten years ago and is coming back into the picture in 2009.
This year, of course, Trumpets falls on Sept. 19, and the Day of Atonement on Sept. 28. Because of the Hebrew lunar calendar, the dates differ a little as we reckon them on our Gregorian calendar. Nonetheless, the important factor is the feast day calendar.
Each "prophetic year" begins with two periods of cleansing (76 days each) and ends with the Feast of Tabernacles. A year ago it began on Nov. 5, 2008 with the election of President Obama, at which time the lottery from his home state of Illinois drew #666. President Obama was inaugurated on January 20, 2009, ending the first 76-day period.
The number 666 has both good and bad connotations, depending on its application. It has monetary implications because Solomon took in 666 talents of gold in 1 Kings 10:14, and in Rev. 13:8 we find the number again in connection with the economic/banking/financial beast that was to arise after 1789. This is the beast that God is currently overthrowing. Take note that 210 years later was 1999, and we are now seeing another Hezekiah Factor extending this time to 2009.
Of course, the year 1789 was also the beginning of the French Revolution which lasted a few years, at least to 1793, so we will probably see the full collapse of this second beast occur over a similar period of time. Once again, it suggests a 3 or 3-1/2 year period to the end of 2012.
At any rate, it is confirmed that on Sept. 28, 2009 we are to petition the Divine Court for the release of the world from the bondage of Mystery Babylon. This will be open to all who wish to participate. Only a few will hear of this opportunity, of course, but those who do will represent the entire body of overcomers--even those from past ages. You do not have to hesitate, wondering if you are qualified as an overcomer. We are all just aspiring overcomers anyway. Just respond to the word according to what is in your heart. God is not looking for the righteous, but for the hearing ones.
If you still have trouble with a spiritual inferiority complex, read Matt. 9:13, where Jesus said, "I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." If you are a sinner, you are called. If righteous, you aren't.
This day of prayer will also be patterned after Jesus' parable of the debtor in Matthew 18. It appears that in some way God is going to act on our behalf to set the world free, and our prayer on Sept. 28 will be our response to His actions. Recall that in the parable, the debtor refused to release or forgive the small debts (sins) against his neighbor, so he lost his Jubilee. Our call is to do the right thing by declaring the Jubilee in response to what God is doing in the earth.
The world at large does not know what to do; the church (wheat) would not do it when they had their opportunity; the overcomers will hear and gladly do His will.
Wow. We get to do another Jubilee declaration! That means 2010 is a Jubilee year of sorts. That I was not expecting.
