This morning I awoke to a fresh revelatory connection that I had not seen earlier.
Today is the fourth day of an eight-day fast (juices only). This morning I saw this in the light of Elijah’s prayer on Mount Carmel in 1 Kings 18:42-44. But let me give you some background, so you will know what I am talking about.
If you have been following these weblogs for the past few years, this will be a good review. But many are new readers, and these will need to understand this summary.
We first went into spiritual warfare November 21-29, 1993 to petition the Divine Court for the overthrow of Mystery Babylon and to ask that the overcomers be given the divine mandate to rule the earth in its place. Though we know that our petition was granted, it yet required us to engage in spiritual warfare along the patterns of the Jericho battle. Even as they marched 13 times around the city, so also did we conduct a 13-year prayer campaign, ending on the Day of Atonement, October 7, 2006. It ended with a decree in Babylon, New York (on Long Island).
The following year (2007), when we met to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in Hilo, Hawaii, the prophetic word came forth about the birth of Elijah (i.e., the Elijah ministry). Subsequent revelation showed that this word applied to the following year (2008). At Tabernacles of 2008 we met at Sweetwater, Tennessee, hoping to see the birth of Elijah, but instead we discovered that this event was deferred to the following Passover (2009).
In the intervening months, we learned that this was not really Elijah, but Elisha. Elijah represented only the first half (3-1/2 years) of the full ministry, and John the Baptist fulfilled that role in the first coming of Christ. We are now preparing for the second coming of Christ, and thus we are to see the completion of this work through the pattern of Elisha (perhaps 2013-2016).
We also understood from Malachi 4:4, 5 that Moses was to be factored into this ministry in order to represent both the law and the prophets. However, just as Elijah has morphed into Elisha, so also has Moses morphed into Joshua. Each of their ministries were accomplished in two parts. Elijah got it started, but Elisha finished it with the double portion. Moses got his law-ministry started, but it took Joshua to complete it by bringing Israel into the Inheritance.
So by the time of Passover 2009, we had a fairly complete understanding that we had not enjoyed earlier. Passover fell on Thursday, April 9, 2009. The Sweetwater conference was scheduled for the week end of April 10-12. On the final day, April 12, I decreed the birth of Elisha.
We then began to believe that we would see the 16 miracle-signs of Elisha in some way in the coming weeks and months. Recall that Elijah performed 8 miracles, while Elisha, having been given the double portion, performed 16 miracles.
First Sign: May 1, 2009 we crossed the waters, as Elisha crossed the Jordan (2 Kings 2:14).
Second Sign: May 9 and 10, 2009 a group of us called “Salt Company” met in Nebraska to purify the waters of Jericho with the salt of the earth (2 Kings 2:19-22).
Third Sign: June 4, 2009 we began driving to the West Coast on a long trip to deal with the two bears of 2 Kings 2:24. We identified these with the two beasts of Revelation 13. We dealt with the first bear on June 15 in Washington state, and the second on the evening of June 24 in Colorado Springs. We arrived home on June 26.
Fourth Sign: This was actually done while we were on our way from California to Colorado. We stopped at Arches National Park in Moab, Utah to pray-decree the reconciliation of the fathers to the children. It was based on the story in 2 Kings 3, where the king of Moab had sacrificed his son in order to win a war.
Fifth Sign: October 13, 2009 we went to a meeting at the home of Vincent Imperial in Pensacola, Florida, expecting to see the fifth sign. I was not disappointed. He preached on 2 Kings 4:1-7 about the widow who owed money to creditors and was in danger of having to sell her two sons to pay the debt. Elisha told her to gather jars, and the small bottle of oil was multiplied to fill every vessel. After Vinnie’s preaching, I stood up said, “I am a vessel that wants to be filled.”
Sixth Sign: January 7, 2010 I drove back to Pensacola with my childhood friend, Phil Hess to hear David Hogan speak. David is known for his ministry of raising the dead. As a missionary in Mexico over the past 20 years, he and his associates have documented more than 500 people raised from the dead. So as we drove to Pensacola, I told Phil that we were to watch for the sixth sign of Elisha, where he prophesied the birth of the son of the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:11-17. At the meeting, David Hogan’s text was Isaiah 9:6, 7, “For unto us a child is born; unto us a son is given…” He then laid hands on us to confirm this blessing upon us.
Seventh Sign: This was to be a resurrection sign. Late January, 2010 the newspapers reported a Polish man named Joseph who came back to life after dying. Because we were expecting to see this sign manifest around January 27, we recognized that this was it. We realized that we were seeing a Joseph pattern, and that this coincided with the Shunammite woman’s son that Elisha raised from the dead in 2 Kings 4:18-37.
This sign came in two parts, and so we understood Part 2 to be fulfilled in our San Jose conference in California on March 5-7, 2010. We came to see that 2010 was the Year of Joseph coming out of the prison as a type of resurrection. This was confirmed later in the year when the San Jose mine in Chile collapsed, trapping 33 miners for 70 days (Aug.5 to Oct. 13). Seventy is the number of restoration. They all came out of the pit alive in a Fenix 2 capsule, as the Phoenix rose from the dead. All of them emerged as believers.
Eighth Sign: July 9, 2010 a group of us made a trip to the Headwaters of the Mississippi River, after our friend, Fran Fisher (from Arizona) expressed the desire to see that site. She had come up from Arizona to speak at a conference in Minnesota July 10-11. At the Headwaters, we were led to cast barley meal into the river at 2:16 pm, while Tim Latimer did the same in the Rio Grande near Deming, New Mexico.
This prayer-decree was to fulfill the seventh sign in 2 Kings 4:38-41, where the prophet put barley meal into the basin, or cauldron, to neutralize the poison from the “wild gourds” that had mistakenly been added to the soup. We recognized that this was playing out in the Deepwater-Horizon Gulf oil spill, which had begun on April 20 and was still pouring toxic oil into the Gulf Basin (Gulf of Mexico). There was “death in the basin.”
Our decree was to bring a solution to that problem. The well was then capped at 2:25 pm on July 15, 2010. This was 144 hours and 9 minutes after we had cast barley meal into the Headwaters of the Mississippi. The number 144 means “The Elect,” because in Greek, that term carries a numeric value of 144. It also has to do with death and resurrection, because Lazarus also carries a numeric value of 144.
The addition of the “9” is also significant, because of the connection between 144 and 153. (144 + 9 = 153) The number 153 means “Sons of God,” because that term in Hebrew (beni h’elohim) carries a numeric value of 153.
This ended the first eight signs of Elisha. This was the portion that equaled Elijah’s eight signs, and since then we have awaited the start of the double portion (9 to 16). We thought we would see these signs continue as usual, but they abruptly ceased.
Nearly two years went by without seeing the ninth sign. Then in May 2012 I began to see that the time cycle given to Elijah was 3½ years, and so we may have to wait until 3½ years had passed since Passover of 2009. That would bring us to early October of 2012. But when this time arrived without seeing the ninth sign occur, a friend from New Zealand reminded me of my weblog dated April 14, 2009, where I stated that the actual start of this time frame would probably begin with the Second Passover in May 2009, rather than the regular Passover in April. This was because even though we were seeing a manifestation of Elijah, it was really Elisha. Elijah (John) began his ministry at Passover, while Elisha is associated with the second coming of Christ, and therefore also the Second Passover.
Hence, this has brought us from May 2009 to November 2012.
The Lord has spoken to us in recent weeks, telling us that November 6-12 was our main “Watch Date” in the near term, with particular focus on November 11. I was surprised, however, when Election Day arrived, and as I drove to the office, I felt strongly led to begin a time of fasting.
The Father later confirmed that I was to go on a green-juice fast for eight days through Tuesday, November 13. This covers the Watch Dates, ending on the 318th day of the year. (There has been much revelation about 318 in past years.)
Last night it occurred to me that this fast is an overlay of Elijah’s prayer for rain on Mount Carmel, except that it is not just seven days, but eight, because of the slight difference in the Elisha setting. This also represents the eight days of Tabernacles, as I wrote in The Laws of the Second Coming, chapter 6.
I was not expecting to go on this fast prior to the ninth sign actually becoming visible, but now I see that I am to reckon it accomplished. In the long term, I must now begin to prepare as if the funding for the Open Door ministry has arrived. I believe also that this funding will come in more than one way and from more than one source. I still believe that the revaluation of the Iraqi dinar will play a big role in this, but it is not necessarily the first on God’s list of priorities.
The bottom line is that I believe we have arrived at the season of the double portion being brought in by “Elisha.” We just do not know precisely how this will play out, but it is now within sight.
