Turkey does not want a Kurdish State to be established either in its territory or on its border. Iran and Iraq agree with that, because creating such a state would inevitably carve out territory from their own countries. The Kurds, after all, live in territory spanning all of those countries and Syria too.
In recent months, Turkey finally began to withdraw support for the US plan to overthrow Syria, not because Turkey favored Syria, but because of US reliance upon Kurdish fighters against the Syrian regime. It has become apparent to Turkey that the US has promised the Kurds that they may use conquered Syrian territory to establish their own independent state. But if this happens, there is no doubt that the Kurds would want to add eastern Turkey to their territory. Then they would want northern Iraq and northwest Iran as well.
So Turkey finally began to patch up its relations with Russia on June 27, 2016 by issuing a letter of apology for shooting down the Russian bomber last November. Three weeks later came the attempted coup, which according to the Turkish government was masterminded by Fethullah Gulen who lives in self-imposed exile in Pennsylvania and is backed by the US government
The coup failed, and President Erdogan was saved from certain death by Russian special forces. This sparked an enormous geopolitical changes, with Turkey and Russia suddenly talking about military ties, followed by patching up relations with Iran as well.
August 19, 2013 "Information Clearing House" - In a stunning diplomatic surprise, Turkey and Iran have announced a preliminary agreement on fundamental principles for a settlement of the Syrian conflict.
The dramatic turn in the diplomacy of the Syria War was revealed in Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim’s regular weekly speech to the ruling AKP Party in the parliament and confirmed by a senior Iranian foreign ministry official Tuesday.

Because NATO’s Incirlik airbase was used in the coup attempt in July, suspicion has fallen upon NATO itself for approving or even assisting in the attempted overthrow of President Erdogan. So now Turkey is sending signals that Russia would be welcome to use the base in its own bombing campaigns against ISIS and (potentially) the US-backed Syrian rebels.
Ankara wouldn’t mind it if Russia used the Incirlik airbase for its anti-terror missions against Islamic State terrorists in Syria, Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim hinted on Saturday, but acknowledged that no such requests have been made….
Given the recent rapprochement between Moscow and Ankara, the Russian publication cited upper house member Igor Morozov as saying that “it just remains to come to an agreement with Erdogan that we get the NATO base at Incirlik as [our] primary airbase.” According to the MP, Incirlik would give Moscow a strategic advantage and provide for a swifter conclusion to Russia’s anti-terrorist operation in Syria.
Meanwhile, Yildirim expressed doubt that Moscow would actually need to use the Turkish airbase, pointing out that Russia’s forces already have two local airbases from which to launch missions in Syria, and that being 100-150 kilometers closer to their targets would not provide any strategic advantage….
However, if Moscow does indeed ask permission to use the Incirlik airbase, it would most likely tip the balance of Turkey’s defense strategy away from NATO, of which it has been a key member for decades.

Russia already has enough airbases in the region to launch its airstrikes, but this shows how friendly Turkey and Russia have become in a very short period of time. Their friendship comes at the expense of the US and its Brzezinsky Doctrine of containing, suppressing, and encircling Russia with military bases. The Brzezinsky Doctrine is the reason for the New Cold War and is the reason the US government has rejected the friendly overtures 15 years ago when Putin wanted peace with the West and to establish economic ties with Europe. The US saw this as a threat to its own hegemony and worked to sabotage the peace.
These developments, however, brought about the East-West conflict which was prophesied in Revelation 16:12 regarding “the kings from the east,” whom God has raised up to overthrow “Babylon” that is headquartered in the West. (For new readers, this conflict is patterned after the war in the days of the prophet Daniel, when the Medes and Persians overthrew Babylon.)
It is clear from a biblical perspective that God is on the side of Russia and China (with Iran as well) in the current battle between Babylon and the modern “kings from the east.” It is God’s way of ending our long “seven times” captivity to Mystery Babylon, now that we have reached the appointed time (2014-2017).
It is important, then, that we understand biblical prophecy as well as the current world situation, so that we know how to pray intelligently and how to prepare for the Kingdom that is coming.
