On August 21, 2017 a solar eclipse was visible across America from coast to coast, marking the start (I believe) of a 7-year cycle in which Mystery Babylon will be overthrown. The end of this 7-year cycle will be marked by a second solar eclipse moving north through the heartland of America on April 8, 2024. The two trajectories will intersect at Carbondale, Illinois, forming a cross over the country.

I believe that God is putting His “mark” on America (by extension, the world as well). Recall the instructions to the man with the inkhorn in Ezekiel 9:4,
4 The Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, even through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark [tav] on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.
The Hebrew letter tav was originally written as an X or a Cross. It literally means “a mark, a sign” and is God’s signature. For this reason, we who belong to Him are marked by the same sign, as Revelation 22:4 tells us, “His name will be on their foreheads.” The tav, then, represents His name.
The Seven Salems
The “mark” in Ezekiel 9:4 was put upon the righteous ones in Jerusalem, which means “City of Salem.” JerUSAlem has America written all over it, and so it is not surprising to find that the solar eclipse in 2017 crossed over seven cities and towns named Salem:
1. Salem, Oregon
2. Salem, Idaho
3. Salem, Wyoming
4. Salem, Nebraska
5. Salem, Missouri
6. Salem, Kentucky
7. Salem, South Carolina
Two Jerusalems
The earthly Jerusalem represents Hagar and the Old Covenant (Galatians 4:24, 25). Paul says that Hagar, the bondwoman, must be cast out (Galatians 4:30). The Old Testament prophets pronounced judgment upon the city as well (Jeremiah 7:11-14; Isaiah 29:1-8). Other prophets refer to Jerusalem not as the City of Peace (Salem) but as the City of Blood, or Bloodshed. It is translated “the Bloody City” in Ezekiel 22:2; 24:6, 9; Nahum 3:1.
The flesh cannot fulfill God’s expectations for us. Hagar produced only children of the flesh (Galatians 4:29), and these are not the heirs of the promise.
Therefore, it appears that this eclipse signifies both the destruction of Jerusalem and the protection that God has put upon those “who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.” America, too, has become a City of Blood with its abortion mills, murder rates, and political abominations.
So when God puts a mark on America, this is both good news and bad. The mark is needed because judgment is coming upon the children of the flesh, and God is promising to protect His people, those who, like Isaac, are the children of promise (Galatians 4:28).
As I said, the transfer of authority was to occur on October 12, 2017. Mystery Babylon’s leaders, however, refused to comply with the ruling in the Divine Court. For this reason, God would have to enforce His ruling over the next 7 years. That is the meaning and purpose of His judgment.
The children of promise—those who have faith in God’s ability to keep His promises—are the beneficiaries of this divine judgment. God is enforcing His court ruling so that the Isaac company today can take their rightful place as the Birthright holders for the age to come.
