When I wrote recently that “The Door has opened,” I had not yet looked up the meaning of the year on the Jewish calendar. It is the year 5784, ending in 84, which is written as two Hebrew letters, pey (80) and dalet (4). The letter pey literally means “mouth” and has to do with opening the mouth to speak the word. For example, see Job 3:1 and Matthew 5:2.
The dalet is a “door.” So the number 84 has to do with an open door.
Today I finally thought to look it up, and I found this on the Jewish Voice site:
As the New Year approaches, the idea of openness has been on our minds at Jewish Voice Ministries. Looking to the Jewish year 5784, we’re praying for open doors, open ears and eyes, and open hearts.
These are the words of Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open (Revelation 3:7)…
Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear” (Mark 4:9)…
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in (Romans 11:25 NKJV)…
One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message (Acts 16:14).
The door has indeed been opened, setting the stage for the Open Door ministry that I have written about many times for decades. The Open Door ministry is a new level of ministry that will involve much travel to build the Kingdom internationally. Our focus is to build the throne for Christ to occupy at His coming. Others will focus on different aspects of the Kingdom according to their revelation and understanding.
Events occurring on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) on September 25 (a week ago) confirmed this, so now we are in the feast of Tabernacles, the culmination of the prophetic Year of Provision. Let us see what God does.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
