During the past year, there has been talk in the West of confiscating the financial assets of the Russian Central Bank, supposedly to rebuild Ukraine. Such theft would set a precedent and would cause many nations to realize that this could happen to their assets as well. They have struggled to find a legal way to do this, because it is so blatantly illegal. But finally, the Biden administration is actually ready to set forth a bill in Congress to make this theft “legal.”
It is noted that the White House aims to coordinate this move with allies from the Group of Seven (G7), particularly in Europe, where approximately $200 billion of frozen Russian assets are held.
"Alongside our G-7 partners, we are exploring all options consistent with our respective legal systems and international law to aid Ukraine in obtaining compensation from Russia," stated the U.S. State Department.
The Economic Prosperity and Opportunity for Ukrainians Act, is authored by Congressmen Jim Risch and Sheldon Whitehouse.
This is, of course, just the latest scheme in the West’s war against Russia, Russians themselves, and Russian culture and civilization. Their earlier schemes all backfired, especially the sanctions, which only served to drive up prices of oil and gas in the West and to enrich Russia in its sales. Other countries like India benefits greatly by importing Russian oil, refining it, and selling it to Europe at much higher prices. As a result, European exports have dropped, because their companies are no longer competitive. Germany, for instance, is now in recession.
Yet beyond this, a worse consequence is likely. It is likely to result in faster de-dollarization around the world. Nations get nervous when they see that the US government gives itself the right to steal assets of those they do not like. Assets could quickly be frozen—as in the case of Russia’s assets—and now confiscated as well.
Few people actually believe that these stolen assets would be given to Ukraine. Most of the assets would go to US companies to purchase arms for Ukraine, scheduled for delivery in one-to-five years. Then when Ukraine falls, the orders would be canceled but the military-industrial complex would keep the money.
Many nations have been added to the BRICS alliance as of this month, most notably Saudi Arabia and Iran. The United Arab Emirates, the 7th largest oil producer in the world—is no longer accepting US dollars for its oil.

Many other nations still accept dollars, but no longer exclusively. An increasing amount of trade is now being done in local currencies. The BRICS nations now account for the vast majority of humanity and will eventually replace NATO and the G-7 in general as the economic powerhouse on the planet. It would be hard to underestimate the enormity of this geopolitical shift. I, of course, relate this to the seismic shift that occurred thousands of years ago when Medo-Persia conquered Babylon.
A few weeks ago South Africa broke diplomatic ties with Israel and filed a genocide case against them at the International Court of Justice. Today South Africa presented its case to the court; tomorrow Israel will present its refutation.
Although the ICJ’s ruling has no real teeth to it, insofar as enforcement is concerned, its ruling will be taken seriously by much of the world. If the ruling goes against Israel, many nations will feel justified in boycotting Israel, recalling its ambassadors, and stopping all trade with them. In fact, such a ruling would obligate all nations to isolate Israel and to sanction them economically.
The US and UK may threaten them, but this will only increase the pace of the great split between East and West. The West is fast losing its influence and hegemony, and its continued support for Israeli genocide will only cause the West to lose respect in the world.
How long will the West be able to continue its support for Israel? At what point will they have to change course? No one knows for sure. But one thing is certain: the West and US specifically is becoming increasingly isolated from the real world. It will take some serious repentance, admitting wrong, in order to turn this around. But we have long had a policy of never admitting wrongdoing. National repentance is not an option in a Babylonian world.
But national repentance is built into the divine plan. God has ways of increasing the pressure until His will is done. So it was with Pharaoh in the days of Moses; so it is again today. I anticipate the year 2024 to be a very climactic year in God’s dealing with the nations.
