As we approach the watch dates (June 30 to July 11), based on the 2001 pattern of spiritual warfare, world events are beginning to clarify how to interpret events for 2026. The state of the world, however, is quite fluid, so it is hard to apply the 2001 watch dates to 2026. I will try to give you a range of possibilities as I see them today, and in the process, it should give you a better perspective on how—in general—to view past prophetic patterns.
The first thing is that watch dates are not an attempt to prophesy anything. At best, we might be able to predict some coming events, but we should avoid being too dogmatic. Prophecy is one thing, our understanding of prophecy is another matter. Understanding is imperfect and often gradual, being perfected as we approach the actual time of fulfillment itself.
From June 30 to July 11, 2001, a group of us engaged in spiritual warfare, which started out with relatively minor skirmishes and escalated quickly into a full-scale world war. But those events were seen only in the spirit, not in the world. The main spiritual event emerged into the world two months later on September 11, 2001 with the demolition of the Twin Towers.
This two-month pattern reflected the 1980 revelation that “July is like September.” July is the 7th month on our present calendar, but originally September was the 7th month on the old Roman calendar. That is why it is called September. The name means “seventh month.” The Romans changed their New Years Day from March to January in 153 B.C., when the Romans moved the inauguration of the consuls from March 15 to January 1.
This seems to have been done because of military urgency in Spain (the Celtiberian/Lusitanian conflicts), so the new consuls could take office earlier and be dispatched sooner. From that point, January 1 functioned as the beginning of the Roman civil year.
July 2026 may again reflect the spiritual events in 2001 without necessarily seeing those events emerge visibly into the world. If this proves to be the case, then it is more likely that the world events will be seen in September, rather than in July.
As we monitor world events today (Ukraine and Israel), these developments are leading to whatever fulfillment is coming. Israel, in particular, seems to be the dominant factor, although this could change quickly, giving us whiplash again. So we have to watch the Memorandum of Misunderstanding that dominates the news these days. If it actually holds, then an uneasy truce for the next 60 days could delay things until late August or into September. However, if the Israelis are able to scuttle this truce, things could deteriorate very quickly, and then July would be more probable.
So this really boils down to a conflict between Trump and Netanyahu.
As I have shown many times in recent decades, Zionism is the spirit of Edom, seen most clearly in Malachi 1:1-4. God forced the British (“Union Jack” or Jacob) to give Esau-Edom the birthright, along with the birthright name, Israel, in 1947-1948, in order to atone for Jacob’s lie in Genesis 27, where he obtained the birthright in an unlawful manner. Esau needed time to prove himself unworthy in order for Isaac to deny him the birthright lawfully.
I believe that God gave the Edomite Zionists 76 years (the number of cleansing) to prove themselves one way or the other. This went from November 29, 1947, when the UN Resolution 181 was passed, and October 7, 2023, the Hamas prison-break. At that point, Esau’s rights ended, and God called a jury of his peers (nations) to judge the matter.
The world is sick of Zionism. Trump even told Netanyahu that “everyone hates you.” The last Zionist stronghold outside of Israel itself has been the USA. Judicially, the jury of nations has decided that Zionism is odious. The last holdout has been the USA, but this too seems to have changed in June 2026. (I say that cautiously, because the controversy is still raging.)
President Trump may have to back down in the face of a Zionist congress and Zionist donors, but at some point we know that Zionism itself will lose this struggle for the birthright. That alone gives us hope that Trump may prevail in this conflict. And if he does, it would mark a historic turn of events leading to the destruction of Jerusalem itself, as Jeremiah and Isaiah tell us clearly.
In other words, Trump’s new anti-Zionist sentiment could well mark the start of America’s national repentance for its support of Esau’s claim to the birthright. Such repentance will determine the nature of the Millennial Kingdom. Will the Kingdom be administered by Zionist Jews or by the overcomers? Will it be a Jewish kingdom with the nations enslaved by Old Covenant religion, or will it be a New Covenant kingdom that first redeems the world’s debt and then works toward extending the Jubilee to creation itself?
At the present time, we are in the midst of this struggle, because the Zionists will not bow out without a fight. God has hardened their hearts, as He did with Pharaoh, because He intends to bring divine judgment upon the earthly Jerusalem and “cast out the bondwoman and her son” (Galatians 4:30). The emerging Kingdom is based on the New Covenant, not the old, and God has been training His overcomers to be faithful trustees of His Kingdom.
The Ukraine war has been threatening world peace at least since 2014 when the US-led coup in Kiev turned the country into a US colony. Russia agreed to a peace agreement in 2015, guaranteed by many European countries who later admitted that they were just stalling for time. A hot war broke out in February 2022, and when a peace agreement was reached six weeks later, Boris Johnson was sent to Kiev to scuttle that deal, ensuring the continuation of the war.
Ukraine, then, became the focus of world attention. NATO’s objective was to weaken Russia, using Ukraine as a battering ram and western sanctions to destroy Russia’s economy. Both objectives backfired. Western Europe was de-militarized when they sent most of their weapons to the graveyard in Ukraine. Cutting off Russian oil and gas simply de-industrialized Europe. Meanwhile, Russia gained military strength and found new buyers in Asia for its oil and gas. The price of oil and gas skyrocketed, so Russia actually made money on the shortages, enough to pay for the war in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukraine, which used to be the breadbasket of Europe, became the basket case that Europe has had to subsidize. Ukrainian President Zelensky has had to travel everywhere begging for money and armaments, while claiming that Ukraine can win the war if only Europe and America will give them more money and bigger and better armaments.
So the West is in a state of economic and military decline, while the kings from the east are rising steadily.
Hence, when the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, 2026, just as a peace deal was being reached by negotiators, they essentially created a two-front war which they could ill afford. What they thought would be won in a few days turned out to be a 40-day war (to April 8), followed by a cold war that blockaded the Strait of Hormuz. This began to strangle economies around the world.
Some countries are already out of fuel. Others are using up their reserves quickly. Even the US stockpiles (Trump said) will run out by mid-July. In fact, this in itself will put pressure on the war situation in the middle of the 60-day truce. Will the truce be able to stand firm? The jury is still out on that question, but if not, we could still see a resumption of war in July.
From my point of view, a coming war is still inevitable, but it is hard to say how long it will be delayed. Where will the destruction of Jerusalem come from? Will the Zionists see the end coming and decide to use their nuclear weapons on large population centers in the region? Will they eventually use the Samson Option and commit national suicide? These questions still have no clear answer, nor do we have a clear timeline for Jerusalem’s destruction.
