The development of world events

I returned home last Saturday evening and have been catching up on the backlog of work and emails. Yesterday I intended to write a weblog, but then most of the day was spent talking on online calls.

US War with Iran/Persia

Recall that we had projected a hot war to resume between June 30 and July 11, based on the pattern of 2001 (in spiritual warfare). Full-scale bombing attacks did indeed begin July 8/9, but perhaps the most important event from a prophetic standpoint was the death of Zionist and arch-warmonger, Senator Lindsey Graham on July 11. Even Trump stated recently that Graham never met a war he didn’t like. See this report:

In 2001, this marked a culmination point where we saw “America Attacked,” which surfaced in the world two months later on September 11, 2001 (Twin Towers). Hence, once again, September 11, 2026 is a watch date on our prophetic calendar.

America’s backing of the State of Edom its quest to retain the birthright will not end well. The same can be said of the church as a whole, particularly the Christian Zionist movement. These are God’s servants or “slaves” in Luke 12:45-48 who will receive few or many lashes, depending on their level of authority and knowledge.

At the first coming of Christ, the central issue was whether or not people would back Jesus as King; today, at His second appearance, the issue is about who we back to receive the birthright. Will it be Jacob (true Israel) or Esau-Edom?

The US-Israeli war against Iran is continuing to escalate. US forces sent barrages of missiles into Iran for about 2 weeks until finally they starting running dangerously low on missiles.

The U.S. missile and air campaign that began July 13 effectively ceased on the night of July 25, 2026, after 13 consecutive nights of strikes against Iranian targets. President Trump ordered a pause in further attacks, and no additional U.S. strikes on Iran were reported in the following days. Trump claimed that Iran was “begging for a peace deal,” when in fact it was Trump who did the begging.

The Strait of Hormuz is indeed “open,” as Trump claims, but only to ships that comply with Iranian regulations as specified in paragraph 5 of the recent MOU. Any ships that turn off their transponders and attempt to pass on the so-called “US Corridor” off the coast of Oman are subject to attack if they ignore the warnings.

The Red Sea Closed to Saudi Arabian Shipping

In early July 2026 Houthi officials flew from Yemen to Tehran aboard an Iranian aircraft to attend Ayatollah Khamenei's funeral (on July 4). On July 13, 2026, as the delegation attempted to return to Sanaa on an Iranian Mahan Air flight, the runway at Sanaa International Airport was struck to prevent the aircraft from landing. The aircraft was subsequently diverted to Hodeidah Airport, where it landed safely, according to Houthi officials.

Since 2014 Yemen has been divided into two separate countries after the Houthi faction took control of half the country. The other half, which the West recognizes as the legitimate Yemen, took credit for the bombing of the Sanaa airport, saying that the Houthis had refused to use Yemen's national carrier and instead insisted on an “unauthorized” Iranian flight.

The Houthis, however, blamed the Saudis, who are their arch-enemies, and they immediately closed off the Red Sea at Bab al-Mandab (“gate of lamentation/tears”) to any and all Saudi shipping out of the Saudi port of Yanbu. This effectively reduced the world oil supply by another 4-5 million barrels per day on top of the previous shortfall of 12 million barrels per day.

The Saudis have an oil pipeline to the Red Sea, which they have been using after the Strait of Hormuz was closed earlier. But now the closure of the Bab al Mandab strait has cut of virtually all Saudi oil sales. Worse yet, on July 24 Saudi Arabia carried out airstrikes against Houthi-controlled areas around Hodeidah in western Yemen. Later on the same day, the Houthis responded with missile and drone attacks aimed at Aramco facilities in Jizan and Yanbu.

On July 25–27 the Houthis claimed additional attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure and the East–West Pipeline system leading to Yanbu, while Saudi Arabia continued retaliatory strikes in Yemen. The Saudis are facing economic disaster. The Houthis are used to it.

The Abyss

The world economy, which runs on energy, is now teetering on the brink of the abyss. Stockpiles are being used up quickly. In fact, recall that Trump’s stated reason for signing the MOU on June 17 was that the world’s energy supply would run out in four weeks. A few ships have gotten through, especially those heading to China, so this is extending the crisis point for another month or so. Reporters are now saying the oil will run dry in mid-August.

Though America is largely self-sufficient in oil production as a whole, the real problem is that 70% of our refineries are set up to process “sour” or “heavy” crude oil to make diesel and jet fuel. We have to import heavy crude. But we have tariff disputes with Canada, a major supplier. Venezuela produces a lot of heavy crude, but even though Trump successfully kidnapped President Maduro and made the country a vassal state of the American Empire, there is danger of resistance and kidnappings, so no US oil company is willing to go down there and rebuild the oil facilities.

And now with the Mideast blockage, America is heading for disaster along with the rest of the world.

But, you say, the price of oil is going down. Yes, the futures price has gone down from $100/barrel to about $85/barrel today, because futures prices are based on hype and believing Trump’s rosy statements about peace and prosperity. In reality, when ships actually sell their oil in Asia, the prices are $120-140/barrel, far higher than the speculative futures price that everyone sees in the statistics.

A president’s job is to be optimistic and to make us all feel good about ourselves and safe from all those that we demonize as “enemies.” Truth is not part of his job description. If you don’t look behind the news, you will be blown about by every wind of political doctrine.

The Sure Word of Prophecy

In the end, the word of God is the only truth we can rely upon, but most Christians have been tricked by those who have twisted or changed the meaning of biblical terms—particularly the name Israel. They have not understood the history of Edom and its Zionistic yearnings (Malachi 1:1-4). They have not understood how God must rectify the situation caused by Jacob’s lie in Genesis 27:24. They do not know that when the flesh tries to fulfill prophecy to help God, they will pay a price in the end, even if it takes thousands of years.

Another key prophecy that is usually misunderstood is about “the kings from the east” (Revelation 16:12). Most Bible teachers interpret this in a negative sense, making them God’s enemies—when, in fact, they are raised up by the sixth angel to overthrow Mystery Babylon and to set us free. By not understanding history, where the original kings from the east were Cyrus the Persian and Darius the Mede (Daniel 5:28-31), they end up fighting to save Babylon!

But you know the truth, if you have been following these weblogs for any length of time. Truth can be stranger than fiction, especially in a blind world dominated by propaganda. Since 2023-2024, when we reached the end of 70 Jubilees since the Jordan Crossing under Joshua, as well as the end of 76 years (“cleansing”) since 1947-1948, God has been moving the world toward a climax of divine judgment. Coinciding with this is the positive work of building the Kingdom while Babylon falls.

Those who walk in the light of His word have no reason to fear, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Those who have seen His hand of protection and provision in the past are those whose faith has been built up by personal experience. The more faith one has, confidence grows and fear is overcome.
