View Full Tract ListFor many months we have watched how the spiritual battles in 2001 were playing out in 2026. Last June I projected the outbreak of war with Iran in the first two weeks of July—or possibly as late as the first two weeks in September.

On July 13, when it was clear that the Memorandum of Understanding, signed on June 17, had collapsed completely, the 2001 pattern proved to be repeating in 2026. I gave this report:

But by the old revelation that “July is like September,” the possibility remained that we might see another outbreak of war bursting out in the first two weeks of September as well. Of course, as in 2001, the date of September 11 was also on our radar.
Last July the war with Iran began to escalate on July 8 and 9. Then it largely died down after a couple of weeks. But two months later, it began to escalate again on September 8, when Trump decided to bomb 5 Iranian oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. The retaliation was swift, as Iran destroyed 9 US military aircraft at the US base in Jordan the next day.
It is too early to say how far this latest phase will escalate, but it is now clear that the September war-phase is occurring.
Secretary of War Hegseth claims that this is not a war, because Congress long ago abdicated its responsibility to declare wars. But at least the Department of Defense has been renamed more honestly as the Department of War. I value every move toward honesty in government. Presidents like to refers to wars as conflicts or even peace-keeping missions. Euphemisms are endless in modern politics.
War has been redefined in a typical legalistic manner to avoid constitutional violations. This was reported on September 8, after the widow of a soldier was killed, but she was denied war-time benefits “because it isn’t a war.” The government, of course, is trying to save money at their expense. (The scandal will probably force the government to reverse its decision soon.)
Normally, whatever God does during a prophetic year reaches its culmination at the end of the feast of Tabernacles. This year there are reports that Netanyahu is planning a possible nuclear strike against Iran on October 5th. If this happens, it would be a few days after Tabernacles.
