Chapter 14: Giants in America

Deuteronomy 3:21, 22 says,

21 And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, “Your eyes have seen all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings [Sihon and Og]; so the Lord shall do to all the kingdoms into which you are about to cross. 22 Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is the one fighting for you.”

We can say with confidence even today that God is the one fighting for us. We can say this, because we are led by the Spirit and not by the flesh. As nations, America and Europe cannot make the same claim, because they have rejected Jesus Christ as their leader. By their own admission they claim to be “secular,” having expelled Jesus Christ from public schools and from government institutions.

One big step toward the secularization of America came 50 years ago on June 25, 1962 when the Supreme Court in America banned prayer in school.

America’s Captivity

Earlier, the banks foreclosed on the government in 1933-1934, putting all citizens into the slavery of debt. The debt was to be paid by direct taxes on wages, even though this was outlawed by the American Constitution and by the Supreme Court in 1894. Such were the terms of the bankruptcy. Those bankers who took control of Americans and enslaved them without their knowledge were the ones who demanded that we change from a Christian Republic into a Secular Socialist Democracy.

Now even that banking system is unworkable and is bankrupt. Do they have the right to believe that the God of the Bible is the one fighting for them? No, He is fighting AGAINST them, for He has decreed their overthrow and eradication of their debt-money system from the earth.

God fights for those who are led by the Spirit. Even in the chapter on the laws of war, it is presumed that Israel was following the Covenant and recognizing the God of the Bible to be their King. On that presumption, Deut. 20:4 says,

4 for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

A nation that recognizes Jesus Christ as their King, the Lord of Hosts, has the right to expect God to fight for them, because such a nation follows the laws of war laid down by their King. If they refuse to follow His commands, how can they ask for His protection? How can they ask for victory in the midst of disobedience?

Even Israel of old could not be protected when they violated the Covenant. In fact, that Covenant promised certain judgments if Israel remained in rebellion against Yahweh (Jesus). Deut. 28:43-45 gives us one of the main judgments of God:

43 The alien who is among you shall rise above you higher and higher, but you shall go down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 45 So all these curses shall come on you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.

The “aliens” in this case consist of about a dozen banking families.

J. W. McCallister, an oil industry insider with House of Saud connections, wrote in The Grim Reaper that information he acquired from Saudi bankers cited 80% ownership of the New York Federal Reserve Bank—by far the most powerful Fed branch—by just eight families, four of which reside in the US. They are the Goldman Sachs, Rockefellers, Lehmans and Kuhn Loebs of New York; the Rothschilds of Paris and London; the Warburgs of Hamburg; the Lazards of Paris; and the Israel Moses Seifs of Rome.

CPA Thomas D. Schauf corroborates McCallister’s claims, adding that ten banks control all twelve Federal Reserve Bank branches. He names N.M. Rothschild of London, Rothschild Bank of Berlin, Warburg Bank of Hamburg, Warburg Bank of Amsterdam, Lehman Brothers of New York, Lazard Brothers of Paris, Kuhn Loeb Bank of New York, Israel Moses Seif Bank of Italy, Goldman Sachs of New York and JP Morgan Chase Bank of New York. Schauf lists William Rockefeller, Paul Warburg, Jacob Schiff and James Stillman as individuals who own large shares of the Fed. [3] The Schiffs are insiders at Kuhn Loeb. The Stillmans are Citigroup insiders, who married into the Rockefeller clan at the turn of the century.

These are among our foreign slave masters today. God has indeed raised them up over us, not because they were so smart, not because Jews are God's chosen, but because the Church in America violated the laws of God.

The Law of the Covenants

The laws of the Old and New Covenants are the same laws. The main difference is that we are now required to know the spirit of the law and understand not only what is written, but what was Christ's intent when He gave those laws to Israel. The other difference is that we are now expected to receive those laws written on our hearts, and not merely to legislate them as part of our judiciary system.

If we do not obey these laws, we will surely come under the same judgments of the law that Israel received in biblical days. We are under divine judgment for our disobedience. If anyone needs proof, read the newspapers. Look around you. Open your eyes and ears, if you can. Better yet, ask God to open your eyes and ears.

On the other hand, as Christian believers, we are justified by faith. As aspiring overcomers, we are led by the Spirit and try to be obedient to all that He tells us to do. Hence, the promise given to Joshua in Deut. 3:22 applies to us as well. We need not fear the Rephaim who have controlled the earth, directly or indirectly, for many years. Joshua said in Num. 14:9, “they are bread for us; their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us.”

Years ago, the Lord posed a question for Ron Oja: “Son, what is the breakfast of champions?”

Well, the obvious answer appeared to be Wheaties, but he suspected that God had another answer. “No, Sir,” he replied.

“Giants.”

David's battle with Goliath in 1 Samuel 17 was a prophetic type of our modern “wars of the Lord.” The name Goliath means “exile.”

When America, Europe, and much of the world came under divine judgment for disobedience, we went into exile, or captivity. We were not taken to foreign countries, however, because we submitted to the wooden yoke that Jeremiah revealed (Jer. 27, 28). In ancient times, both Israel and Judah received the iron yoke (Deut. 28:48).

Nonetheless, God sent Goliath to rule over us in captivity.

The name Goliath comes from the root word galah, which means “to go into exile, uncover, remove, or discover.”

You can see the giants in the land by observing the skyscrapers of any big city. If you want to know if you are enslaved to Goliath, check your wallet for a DISCOVER card.

The Spirit of Anak Today

The Anakim, from whom Goliath came, had founded the town of Hebron, known previously as Kirjeath Arba. It was named after Arba, the father of Anak, and he was one of the giants born through the unlawful stitching together (rapha) mentioned in Genesis 6:4 when the “sons of God” intermarried with “the daughters of men.”

Hebron later became the inheritance of Caleb, one of the overcomers, who, with Joshua, lived to inherit the land of Canaan. Caleb was of the tribe of Judah, while Joshua was of the tribe of Ephraim.

A few centuries later, David was crowned king over Judah in Hebron, where he ruled for 7½ years over a single tribe (2 Sam. 5:5). Then when the other tribes crowned him king, he took the city of Jerusalem and moved his capital there.

In the 18th year of David’s reign, his son Absalom overthrew him for a time. The story is told in 2 Samuel 15-18. Absalom’s revolt began in Hebron (15:9, 10) with the help of Ahithophel, David’s counselor and friend (15:12).

When David heard that Absalom was marching his troops to Jerusalem, he evacuated the city, taking with him the men who remained faithful to him. On his way out of town, he stopped at the top of the Mount of Olives to make a sacrifice (15:30-33).

Ahithophel counseled Absalom to chase David and kill him, but David’s spy counseled him to let him go. Absalom followed the advice of David’s spy, so David escaped. We then read in 2 Sam. 17:23,

23 Now when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey and arose and went to his home, to his city, and set his house in order, and strangled [hanged] himself; thus he died and was buried in the grave of his father.

We do not know how long David remained in exile, but he later returned, defeated Absalom’s army, and Absalom was killed (18:15). David returned as the rightful heir to the throne.

This story was prophetic of the New Testament conflict between Jesus, the chief priests, and Judas. Jesus played the role of David, for He was the true Heir of David’s throne. The chief priests usurped the throne with the help of Judas, who was Jesus’ friend. Of course, Judas later hanged himself (Matthew 27:5).

Judas was surnamed Iscariot (Mark 3:19), which was the Greek form of Ish-Keriot, “men of Kirjeath-Arba.” In other words, Judas was from Hebron, the place where Absalom had revolted, and the place of Arba and Anak, the usurpers who had claimed to be “sons of God.”

The fact that the chief priests played the role of Absalom in usurping the throne of David can be seen from Jesus’ parable in Matthew 21:37-39,

37 But afterward he [God] sent His Son to them, saying, “They will respect My Son.” 38 But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, “This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.” 39 And they took him, and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

In other words, the ones who had been given authority over the vineyard were the chief priests. They recognized the Heir as the Son of God, and this is why they killed Him. This was very much like Absalom, who had come against his father, David, with full knowledge of who David was.

The point is that this conspiracy against David, along with the later conspiracy against Jesus, was inspired by the spirit of Anak that still lurked in Hebron. Though the name had been changed to reflect the new authority of Caleb, the rebellious hearts of men eventually had allowed that old Rephaim spirit of the Anakim to take root. Hence, it became the site of the dispute over the Dominion Mandate of Genesis 1:26, which had been given to Judah in Genesis 49:10 and later to David who was of that tribe.

There is no doubt that in plotting against David, the people of Hebron went against the will of their forefather Caleb. Caleb, like Joshua, was a type of Christ. Caleb was a type of Christ, the Judahite, in His first coming, while Joshua was a type of Christ, the Ephraimite, in His second coming. In His second coming, He is described in Revelation 19:13 as being “clothed with a robe dipped in blood.” That describes Ephraim’s father, Joseph, whose robe was dipped in blood (Genesis 37:31).

As we come to understand how the Old Testament stories prophesy of Christ, we can have a better understanding of the New Testament as well as the second coming of Christ. Even as Christ’s throne was usurped by the chief priests in His first coming, so also has the Birthright of Joseph been usurped in the past century by the same people operating by the spirit of Anak.

Nonetheless, both problems will be resolved at the return of Jesus Christ. David’s return prophesied of Christ’s second coming, in which Absalom was killed. Much modern eschatology assumes that the “Absalom” people will rule in David’s kingdom in the age to come. The biblical story, however, proves that to be incorrect.

So also, those who have usurped the Birthright and who call themselves by the Birthright name Israel today, are usurpers and will not inherit the Kingdom of God. If individuals among them wish to be inheritors, they must leave Absalom’s army and support Jesus’ right to rule the Kingdom.
