The Oil Spill as a Sign of War

Recall that the oil spill in the Gulf began on April 20, 2010, which was 1290 days from the seventh bowl of wine that was poured out in Babylon, NY on Oct. 7, 2006.

It was also 1470 days (3 x 490) after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was formally removed from office following his stroke.

This alone provides us a link between the oil spill and the Israeli government. I am not implying that they had anything to do with it. Instead, I am saying that there is a prophetic connection. I strongly suspect that April 20 began a FOURTH 490-day cycle leading to August 23, 2011.

In fact, I wonder if perhaps the 45 days from April 20 to June 3 foreshadow another 45-day cycle 490 days later. This would take us from:

August 23 to October 6, 2011.

Will this prove to be the time of war in the Middle East? Things are moving quite fast now, so it is hard to see that war could be postponed for so long. But at this point we will consider it a Watch Time, and if war has not already broken out by then, perhaps this will be the time.

It would be nice to have another year and a half to prepare.

From October of 2000 to October of 2006 we poured out a bowl of wine (judgment) and a bowl of water (mercy) each year during the feast of Tabernacles, except for the final bowl at Babylon, NY, which was poured out on the Day of Atonement.

After each bowl was poured out, we saw the first results within the year. Since then, however, we have been seeing further fulfillments come to the surface, but not in any particular order. Right now the third bowl of wine (Rev. 16:4-7) is being seen in the Gulf Oil Spill, where the "springs of waters" (NASB) are turned into blood (red). In this case, the "springs" are coming from under the ocean, and these "waters" are turning the Gulf into a Red Sea.

Back in 2002 we were led to pour out this third bowl into the Mississippi River just a short distance from my office. We did this on an island in the river called the Island of Peace. The Native American tribes used it to make peace treaties and hold talks on neutral ground. The Mississippi River, of course, flows to New Orleans and out into the Gulf of Mexico.

This seems to imply the idea of War and Peace, as if these bowls of water and wine established a time of Peace--but that this would end at an appointed time in the Gulf. It also connects the event to the Gulf and the current oil spill.

When we poured out this third bowl, I gave a teaching to explain Rev. 16:6 that is connected to this third bowl:

"For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and Thou hast given them blood to drink. They deserve it."

In other words, the stated reason behind this bowl of wine and its consequence (water to blood) is that "they poured out the blood of saints and prophets." This brief reference is not explained until later in Rev. 18:24 at the fall of Babylon,

"And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth."

Compare this with Luke 11:47-51,

⁴⁷ Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and it was your fathers who killed them. ⁴⁸ Consequently, you are witnesses and approve the deeds of your fathers; because it was they who killed them, and you build their tombs. ⁴⁹ For this reason also the wisdom of God said, "I will send to them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and some they will persecute," ⁵⁰ in order that the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world may be charged against this generation [race or offspring], ⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the house of God; yes, I tell you, it shall be charged against this generation.

Jesus said also in Luke 13:33, "it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem."

The reason the blood of all the saints and prophets can be charged to the latter-day rulers of Jerusalem is because they would become the rulers of Babylon in the last days. That is, they worked hard through the power of money and finance to take control of the world Babylonian system. They succeeded, and so they became the "feet" of the Babylonian image seen in Daniel 2:34. They became the final manifestation of the Babylonian power just before being struck by the great Stone of the Kingdom of God. "Woe to Ariel, Ariel, the city where David once dwelt" (Isaiah 29:1).

Jesus gave them a veiled warning in Matt. 21:43, 44,

⁴³ Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and be given to a nation producing the fruit of it. ⁴⁴ And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.

This is what Daniel says about the great Stone Kingdom in Dan. 2:35. The image was crushed "andbecame like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them was found."

So Jesus was telling the Jewish leaders first that the Kingdom would be taken from them and given to a nation that brings forth the fruit of the Kingdom. He had just told the parable of the Vineyard which the people had usurped by killing the Son, the Heir who is Jesus Christ. So then he warns them not to be found on the feet of the Babylonian image, because that is the place where the Stone Kingdom will fall first, grinding it to powder.

When a nation sins, it often takes centuries for God to hold that nation accountable. When judgment strikes, it is that final generation of successors that is held accountable for all the sins of the predecessors. So also is it with this Babylonian image. It is the "feet" that are held directly accountable in the time of earthly judgment. (The rest are held accountable at the Great White Throne.)

The Rothschilds should have thought of this before seeking to usurp the power of Babylon for themselves by means of usury-banking practices. Esau has killed Nimrod and has usurped his Babylonian garments. Achan has stolen silver, gold, and a Babylonian garment.

The time of judgment is almost upon us, and when Babylon falls, the rulers will be held accountable for shedding the blood of all the saints and prophets beginning with Abel himself.

And so the present oil spill in the Gulf is coming from an undersea "spring" that has turned the waters to blood. It began 3 x 490 days after Ariel Sharon, a type of Jerusalem, was formally removed from office (April 11, 2006). Ariel is Isaiah's poetic name for Jerusalem (Is. 29:1), and I have long believed that Ariel Sharon was a type of Jerusalem, not only in his name but also in his character. He was known as "The Bulldozer," because that was his favorite tool in demolishing Palestinian homes. It was one of his bulldozers that crushed Rachel Corrie, after whom the humanitarian aid ship was named.

All of these connections suggest strongly that we should watch for a final 490-day period ending August 23, 2011. It is quite possible also that this may mark the start of a 45-day conflict that will do to Ariel-Jerusalem what the Israeli Parliament did with Ariel Sharon at the start of these cycles. As I have written many times in the past, this event will mark the final casting out of the bondwoman and her son, as Paul prophesied in Gal. 4:30. Jerusalem is the bondwoman (4:25), who must be cast out before the true inheritors of the New Jerusalem can receive their inheritance.
