Barley Works in 144 Hours

"It was about 2:25 pm local time when the latest attempt of top hat 10 successfully closed it's open valves."

The date was July 15 at about 2:25 p.m. An alert reader pointed out that this was almost precisely 144 hours since we had cast the barley meal into the headwaters of the Mississippi River. It was 9 minutes past 144 hours. God often uses numbers to confirm connections between cause and effect.

So the completion of the eighth sign of Elisha appears to be confirmed (2 Kings 4:38-41).

⁴⁰ O man of God, there is death in the pot [cauldron]." And they were unable to eat. ⁴¹ But he said, "Now bring [barley] meal." And he threw it into the pot, and he said, "Pour it out for the people that they may eat." Then there was no harm in the pot.

Once it was pointed out to me that the Gulf Basin (cauldron) had death in it, and that the solution was to put barley meal into it as Elisha had done to the pot in his day, then we had sufficient revelation to know that God intended to heal the Gulf. Up to that time, there were only dire warnings that the end of the world could be approaching.

When Fran asked us to take her to the headwaters of the Gulf on July 9, the final piece of the puzzle fell into place. This set the timing for our trip, and we knew that we were to put barley into the headwaters of the Mississippi River, which would then move downstream to the Gulf Basin itself. We just did not know how long it would take before we would see the effects of our work in the world.

Over the past two weeks, we also began to see certain patterns emerging that seemed to connect this situation with the spiritual battle we experience in the first two weeks of July 2001. The indicators were not strong, so I hesitated to write about it, especially since that warfare ended on July 15, 2001, indicating perhaps an end to the problem by that date. But it is now quite plain that this is what actually occurred.

In other words, the warfare we won on July 15, 2001, which included defeating Apollyon-Abaddon, the Prince of Persia, established the point of victory in this BP oil disaster on the same date 9 years later. I wrote about this to some extent in The Wars of the Lord, chapters 30-31.

"By the night of July 12 this final world battle had been won. A little work was left for the next few days. Apollyon was the last [archprince] to be bound on July 14, and then God installed the archangels over the earth's continents, each in his place on July 16, 2001." [page 175]

I was too brief in this report, of course. In my notes, I mention that July 15 the war fully ended. In my desire to be brief and to give only the most relevant details, I invariably leave out details that surface later. The fact is, every detail is important in the end. The problem is that to record every detail would make the book too large to be practical.

We will be watching these July dates in September as well (Sept. 9-16) to see if and how they might resurface according to the "July is like September" principle.

Another theme that we ought to watch now is what was started in 1984 with "Operation Clean Sweep." I wrote of this in chapter 3 of The Wars of the Lord. We began to see this come to the surface two years ago in 2008 with my trip to South Africa. I thought then that the Open Door Ministry was beginning in 2008. Then it dove beneath the surface once again, leaving me a bit puzzled.

I now see that there has been a two-year delay, seen primarily in the delay of the Iranian war. Recall that in August of 2008 the Russians bombed the airbase in Georgia, making that airstrip unusable for planes. This meant that the US and Israeli forces could not attack Iran from Georgia as planned. So they had to establish a new base in Azerbaijan, and now are poised to attack in 2010.

This two-year delay could well be the same as the two-year delay from 1988-1990 following our temporary victory over Apollyon on August 2/3, 1988. He had to be released a year later on the same date, and then on August 2/3, 1990 Iraq invaded Kuwait, and the First Gulf War began.

We are now looking at the final phase of Gulf War Two, and in August the two-year delay will be complete once again. We need to watch this time carefully, so we are not taken by surprise. Paul says in 1 Thess. 5:4-6,

"But you, brethren, are not in darkness that the day should overtake you as a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober."

Meanwhile, also, we are watching for the emergence of the ninth sign of Elisha, that of PROVISION (2 Kings 4:42-44). I relate this to the provision necessary to do the Open Door Ministry that lies ahead. The greatest era is yet ahead of us to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations. The conflict between nations, even nuclear strikes, will not stop the Gospel from going to the world. In fact, I believe that God will use these things to shake the heavens and the earth, so that all things not of His Kingdom will fall. In other words, the shaking is the negative side and is necessary to shake the world system and allow its replacement by His Kingdom.
