We have been watching dates that are connected to barley, because the ninth miracle-sign of Elisha in 2 Kings 4:42-44 appears to connect that sign with barley.
For those who are new, I believe that the ninth sign of Elisha, which is about multiplying the bread, will be seen in the revaluation of the Iraqi dinar and perhaps other currencies as well in the Global Currency Reset. For further information, see past weblogs about Elisha by using our internal search engine on the web site.
April 1, 2014 is the next barley watch date, because it corresponds to the Hebrew calendar’s first day of the first month. This was the day that the priests inspected the barley fields in Jericho to see if the barley was ripe enough to use at the wave-sheaf offering shortly after Passover. If the barley had eared out, then it qualified, and the signal went out that this was the first day of the first month, and that the people were to keep Passover in two weeks.
If the barley was not yet ripe, then this would be the thirteenth month of the previous year, sort of like a “leap-month.”
The first day of the first month was also the day that Jesus raised Lazarus from the tomb. He had to undergo seven full days of cleansing for touching a dead body (i.e., his own body), and then his sisters had a dinner party for him (John 12:1, 2) on the eighth day. This occurred “six days before the Passover.”
So April 1, 2014 is a watch date. There are some who strongly believe that this revaluation will indeed occur tomorrow. I am not so sure. It is certainly an important date, as the Volker Rule goes into effect on April 1st, but this will not necessarily be accompanied by the revaluation.
The final provisions were adopted January 14, effective April 1.
The rule is often referred to as a ban on proprietary trading by commercial banks, whereby deposits are used to trade on the bank's own accounts… On December 10, 2013, the necessary agencies approved regulations implementing the rule, which were scheduled to go into effect April 1, 2014. On January 14, 2014, after a lawsuit by community banks over provisions concerning specialized securities, revised final regulations were adopted.

In other words, the banks can no longer use depositors’ money to invest in derivatives and other commercial investments (with some exceptions). This practice was one of the big causes of the banking crisis of 2008.
The banks have a year in which to comply and to divest themselves of trillions of dollars worth of derivatives. Some have said that this divestment itself could cause a crash, if some banks try to get out before the others.
Since we are now entering the Hebrew month of Abib (“green ears,” i.e., barley), the whole month has a barley connection. But April 20 is the actual day of the wave-sheaf offering of barley. As such, it is the fifth anniversary of the start of the Elisha signs. These began on the day of the wave-sheaf offering, April 12, 2009, commonly known as “Easter.”
So April 20 is another watch date, if the revaluation does not occur on April 1.
We should also watch the other major dates of the feast-day season. April 10 is the day for the selection of the lambs for Passover. It is the tenth day of the new Hebrew month, and it is also the anniversary of the Jordan crossing under Joshua’s leading (Joshua 4:19).
Passover itself falls on April 14/15. April 15 is the end of the current 76-day cycle of cleansing. Recall that each “Prophetic Year” begins with two cycles of cleansing before the Spring feasts begin building toward the climax at the Feast of Tabernacles. The current Year of the Open Door began on November 14, 2013. The first 76-day cycle ended on January 30, and the second will end on April 15.
These dates help define what God is doing in the rest of the year. We already have a glimpse of this, knowing that the transfer of authority from the last beast system to the saints of the Most High (Daniel 7:22, 27) is to take place on the eighth day of Tabernacles (October 16, 2014).
It appears that this will initiate a three-year period in which this transfer will take place in the real world. Obviously, something this big will take time, even as it took time for Babylon to take Jerusalem at the start of this long tribulation cycle, when God gave Babylon the dominion mandate in 607 B.C. It took Babylon three years to subdue nations on the way to Jerusalem, and they took Jerusalem in 604 B.C.
The 2,520 years (“seven times”) of beast rule is coming to an end from 2014-2017. It is time for the “saints of the Most High” to prepare themselves to receive the dominion mandate. Of course, if you are a new reader, you will have to do some study of the background history, which I have written about in past months and years.
