From 1993-2000 we saw the rise of the House of David, followed by the rise of the House of Joseph (2000-2006). In broad terms, this was a long-term plan to join the two sticks of Judah and Joseph in the hand of Christ, the King of Kings (Ezekiel 37:19). This breach had occurred after the death of Solomon and could only be repaired through Jesus Christ.
Yet Christ had to come twice—once from Judah and a second time through Joseph—in order to accomplish this. Therefore, this repair took place in two stages. Christ prepared the way when He died and rose again, but the actual reunification had to await the end of the time of world empires, to whom God had given authority in the earth since the fall of Jerusalem in 604 B.C.
The reunification of David and Joseph in our time took place over a period of thirteen years (1993-2006) in preparation for Christ’s second coming. But more had to be done, because the Elijah-Elisha calling was specifically to prepare for His coming. Hence, we had to see the rise of Elisha as well.
Elisha’s calling is taking place in two stages as well. God never seems to be in a hurry. From 2009-2010 we saw the “Elijah” phase of Elisha’s calling—that is, the single anointing of Elijah that was given to the Elisha company. We now await the double portion in the near future, which, it appears, will coincide with the final outpouring of the Holy Spirit that so many have anticipated for decades.
The interim between Elisha’s single anointing and the double anointing began after the eighth sign of Elisha was fulfilled on July 9-15, 2010. I did not anticipate any lengthy interim in 2010, but it became obvious as time passed. Ordinary signs continued, of course, but these were all evidence of the single anointing of “Elijah” upon the Elisha company.
In essence, what we have been seeing since 1993 is an incremental, but steady, rise in the level of authority given to the overcomers. With the death of “Saul” in 1993 after 40 Jubilees of the reign of the church under its anointing of Pentecost, “David” began to rise to power. When this rise was completed after 7 years and six months (as per the pattern of 2 Samuel 5:4, 5), the overcomers had the necessary authority to do the Joseph work from 2000-2006.
When the Joseph work was completed in 2006, the way had been prepared for the rise of Elisha and the authority that he brought to the picture. The “Elijah” phase of Elisha’s work should be seen as the next level of authority being given to the overcomers as they move toward the double anointing necessary to complete the work.
Meanwhile, from the perspective of 2021, we see the future through a mirror dimly, as Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13:12. Some things we know, while other things remain hidden.
What We Know
We know that Christ is coming a second time through Joseph, whose robe was dipped in blood (Genesis 37:31; Revelation 19:13). We know that the promise of God is to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, not merely in a Pentecostal anointing, but also a Tabernacles anointing.
We know that Christ is repairing all breaches dating back to Adam’s sin, and that this work also involves the repair of the breach between Israel and Judah, that is, between the Birthright of Joseph and the Scepter of Judah (1 Chronicles 5:1, 2).
We know that the Birthright is the Fruitfulness Mandate (Genesis 1:28) and that the Scepter is the Dominion Mandate (Genesis 1:26). We know that the Fruitfulness Mandate is about the manifestation of the sons of God, which could not take place until the two sticks were joined together in one hand (Ezekiel 37:19).
We know that God is able to perform all that He has promised, and that this is the foundation of our faith (Romans 4:21, 22). This is what sets apart the children of promise.
Faith Forged in Fire
No one in past years was able to foresee the manner in which these things were to take place. Our own revelation has been incremental and progressive over the years. At each point in time, we had only enough light to take the next step. Yet each step was a step of faith, for we had to know within ourselves that the Spirit was leading us. The faith of Abraham was required, wherein “he went out, not knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8).
If we did not have the faith of Abraham, we would have failed to endure to the end. But time proves our faith, whether it is Abrahamic or not. Time solidifies faith while it disintegrates pseudo-faith. Many, too, have passed on in the interim, but like the men of faith listed in the 11th chapter of Hebrews, they will not lose their reward, even if they did not live long enough to see the promises fulfilled on the earth. Hebrews 11:39, 40 says of them,
39 And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised [in their lifetime], 40 because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us [in later generations], they would not be made perfect.
Abraham himself, the Father of Faith, “did not receive what was promised,” yet he saw it afar off and did his part to bring it to pass. Abraham begat many sons in the future, for we read in Galatians 3:29,
29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
Abraham continues to beget sons even today. The evidence of this is their New Covenant faith. Though Abraham begets many children, only those who are birthed through Sarah, the New Covenant, are the inheritors of the Birthright (Galatians 4:28, 31). Without the faith of Abraham, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), but also, one must be a child of Sarah in order to be a child of promise. Both parents are necessary.
Those who are of the opinion that the chosen seed of Abraham are biological descendants of Abraham are at a disadvantage, because their eyes are focused upon the flesh. Paul makes it very clear that only the remnant of grace is “chosen” (Romans 11:5-7). That excludes the vast majority of biological Israelites. By His own sovereign will, God has chosen only a few from each generation, and the rest were blinded in their eyes and hardened in their hearts.
To those Israelite overcomers were added many more from other nations who were not biological descendants of Abraham. Together, these form the “one new man” in Ephesians 2:15, and we ought not to reconstruct the dividing wall between them, as if to say that Jews and Israelites are chosen while the rest are not.
By understanding this, we are able to do the work of David, Joseph, and Elisha without deferring to those who claim biological descent from Abraham.
The Interim Work
The work of Elisha did not cease in 2010, even though the ninth sign was delayed for a season. The interim should be viewed as the unified work of David, Joseph, and Elisha. The purpose of this delay (and interim) was first of all to allow Mystery Babylon to finish its course in 2017. God Himself had given these empires the authority to rule (Jeremiah 27:5, 6).
God Himself set the boundaries of their rule according to the counsel of His own will. They had been given 2,520 years (“seven times”) in which to rule the nations, as I showed earlier. This time did not end until October 12, 2017, at which time the transfer of authority took place from the beast empires to the saints of the Most High God (Daniel 7:22 KJV).
Hence, the interim from 2010-2017 prepared the saints for this transfer of authority. Then, because the Babylonians refused to give up their power (as God had prophesied in Jeremiah 50:33, 34), the work of the saints from 2017-2024 (I believe) has focused upon enforcing the will of God. God has hardened the hearts of the world rulers, even as He hardened Pharaoh’s heart in the days of Moses (Exodus 4:21), in order to destroy Mystery Babylon.
As of 2021, we are in the midst of that work and are seeing this destruction take place. The proponents of Mystery Babylon are in a state of panic and are working feverishly to retain power as it slips from their grasp. This is causing havoc in the world, and those who walk by sight cannot avoid the spirit of fear. But those who have faith and who know the long-term plan of God are able to rest and to exercise authority by faith.
So the current series is about the rise of these “saints” that are prophesied in Daniel 7:22, 27. The full anointing of “Elijah” (that is, the single anointing) was sufficient to do the interim work and to prepare the way for the transfer of authority in 2017.
