Open the Gates Wide prayer campaign

The name of this prayer campaign is taken by the word of the Lord from Nahum 3:13, which is part of a prophecy against Nineveh: "The gates of your land are opened wide to your enemies." All believers in Christ are (or should be) the "enemies" of Nineveh and the government of Azazel.

When our Father gave us this verse, I did not understand it until later, when it occurred to me that the Grotto of Pan at Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 16:13) was literally known (to Jesus and to Jews in His day) as "the gates of hell" (Matthew 16:18 KJV). In this context, the opening of these gates refers to capitulation of Azazel's government without having to break them down with violence and force.

The following model prayer is designed to bring focus and unity to those who are led to participate in this prayer campaign. If you learn of this prayer campaign at a later date, you may participate retroactively.

THE PRAYER: August 3, 2026

Heavenly Father, having received revelation and counsel from the Holy Spirit, we come today before Your divine court in the name of Jesus and under His blood, with thanksgiving and praise, to enter a declaration into the heavenly records and to make an appeal:

First, we declare our agreement with the words of Jesus Christ, who quoted the word of God while being tempted by Azazel in the wilderness. We agree and declare that “It is written, man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” We agree and declare that “It is written, you shall not put the Lord your God to the test.” We agree and declare that “It is written, you shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.”

We renounce and reject the temptations of the world: the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, covering all such things under the blood of Jesus Christ. We declare that by faith in His blood we are imputed righteous and therefore are in right standing in this court.

By divine revelation we know and believe that August 3, 2026 is the appointed time of the end of Azazel’s authority and the throne of the world. We therefore declare that his government and throne, known as the Gates of Hell, are open wide, so that King Jesus and those called to reign with Him may take their rightful place on and around His throne to finish the work of subjecting the world to the authority of Christ and His Kingdom’s Government.

We ask this court to immediately commission Raphael to bind and cast Azazel into the abyss to face judgment at the White Throne at the appointed time.

Thank-you for hearing this case, for Holy Spirit revelation and inspiration to know the times and seasons, for the authority to declare the will of Christ in this matter, and for granting our request. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only King.
